My brother in law brought it for me from Japan as a gift. He paid $17 a bottle and we found out its $190 here. This particular one is pretty nice, but regular Santori is shit I agree.

I'm Mexican, you won't catch me drinking Corona. That shit glows in a blacklight.

The Japanese like to water down, "mizuwari", their whiskey. "Suntory" beer is ok but not as good as Kirin for example. Yamazaki whiskey is way...way better and made by Suntory. Single malt. I guarantee the $190 Suntory is not the $17 version your BIL brought back. There are some aged limited edition Suntory "Old" that's 50 plus years that can bring a decent price. Tequila..Mexico, Sake...Japan, whiskey...USA.....beer...Colorado.....

It's the same one, I think it's a matter of short supply because I've never seen this one at any stores. Lowest I've seen it is $170, average is $190. I'm not sure that he got it at 17, but that's his story in front of his wife. He turned flush red when we looked it up here and in my cabinet it went. Don't care much what it costs, I'm not a whiskey guy but its smooth, gets me buzzed and no headache tomorrow. That plus free is good to me.

This other one he gave me 2 years ago and I can't stand the shit. I'll have a headache before I have a buzz, it's terrible. I only drink it when I'm out of beer and can't drive to buy more :D
    20191011_230133.jpg

I'm a beer guy really, just drinking whiskey because I'm sick. I'm sure in Japan they prefer American whiskey, same way in Mexico they like Budweiser. I prefer Tecate or Pacifico or even Bohemia, but when I go visit my family they'll have none of that. My younger cousins like the San Diego beer but the older generation is all Bud. It isnt that a country can't do it right, but some countries do it better.

Where in Japan did you stay?
