I’ve just completed a engine install on my 2011 tundra. I pre oiled and cranked briefly. Installed plugs and attempted to start. Cranked but no start. Disconnected one fuel rail, cranked but no fuel. Did not hear fuel pump run either.
Did not have this problem before the engine change.
I will start looking at this challenge tomorrow, all suggestions welcome.

Ensure all your ground points are connected?

    Ground points
    • One on right side of engine
    • One on left side
    • One on transmission
    • Two off of battery, one going to block, one to body.
    • There are two ground bundles at the rear of the engine

I havent had to deal with this on my Tundras, but on my Taco there was a procedure to manually run the fuel pump with the vehicle off for testing purposes. The fsm will show how to do it. Usually a jumper wire at a diag port.

That would help rule out a FP issue. I have also seen maf and tb bad connections not allow the FP to kick on. I would pull the electrical diagrams and see how/what the FP wiring is routed through on your year.

I presume you checked the fuses?

Did you change over the sensors from the other engine?

I did not change over the sensors, this engine came complete.
I have checked each and every fuse just because I was already there.

Today I first checked all my grounds again, all good.

Decided to go ahead and drop the tank and apply power to pump, pump pushed fuel, so I let it run and almost empty the tank.

Tomorrow I will get back under and check for power at plug, and work backwards.

Does any one have a site to direct me to a wiring diagram for the 2011 tundra?

Thank you to all for each suggestion.

Check the fuel pump relay. If it’s turning on then it’s something between the relay and the pump. If it isn’t, then it’s something before the ecu, or at the ecu.
You can jump the fuel pump relay and see if it pumps fuel to eliminate wiring issues between the two.

A lot of newer cars require the sensors or throttle bodies and such to be reprogrammed or mapped to the ECU. If that’s the case with the tundra you could swap over the old sensors.

After dropping the tank and power applied to pump, found pump to to be operational. Reinstalled tank found pump operates only when engine is being cranked. Does not run when in run or on mode.

I dont know what I did, but after unplugged and reinstalling various connections all seem to be working, engine is no running.

To everyone, thank you I was getting frustrated.

    Now to fill transmission.
