So, spent the last 3 days doing 1,000 mile road trip with my 2 year old down to LA, around a lot, and then back up to the bay area. Car ran well, i 100% expected it to blow up on us at some point on the trip :D.
    - Car eats about 1-2 quarts of oil every 1,000 miles. Gonna do a compression test this week on it when I get the time
    - I need to replace the radiator, it's full of rust, and I knew this going into the trip. Car only started running pretty warm once, and it was about 95 outside, and it hit about 210-215, other then that it ran about 180-200 most the time. I definitely thought the grapevine was going to do me in, but had no issues
    - I need to get a telescoping driveshaft, at least that's the last thing i think could cause a nasty vibration that happens at highway speed. you can peddle out of it or through it...and i've had 2 different sets of wheels on it and both balanced multiple times.
    - I was amazed this thing could cruise at 3500-4K RPM for what seemed like an eternity (or until I had to get gas).......(that's between about 70-80)

on a side note, went to take the '55 out with the kids last weekend....buckled my daughter in and she asked why the window was smoking........door popper solenoid finally shit the bed after 20+ years :D

Never thought these would give me trouble. so I tucked it down in a side panel and had to use the video on my iphone to see what I was doing to get to it.....no clue how i'm gonna get the new one back in

about to undergo a crazy transformation I think. I've been wanting to bag the '55 for a long time now. Was about to pull the trigger on a new raptor and think i'm gonna keep the tunrda, build a whole new chassis for the '55 so it'll lay on the ground....drop in a crate LSA motor....and take the 406" out and drop it in the '63

slowly getting there, this thing def had some issues underneath that have been addressed now.

    - Accidentally drilled into the fuel line while installing y bone. This was a blessing in disguise. Fuel Line was in bad shape all around
    - Rear end was hit at one point and wasn't until after we got bags and everything installed in the rear we realized rear pass side brackets were twisted. Fixed that
    - I busted the steering trying to get the car on a tow truck...completely inverted the idler arm.....used this as an excuse to upgrade whole steering system
    - front discs are on
    - generator caught on fire......used that as an excuse to go alternator.

    but she's finally getting low
