Past weekend I built our movable island to replace the permanent one I removed when I did the flooring. 2x6's ripped to square for the top, redwood 4x4's legs with casters, 2x4's ripped to square for the cross bracing and top support. Sand and sealer next.

I can’t say much about cost but it’s a few dollars. Lol It’s a fun and exciting project to do.

It's kind of like you're building a little city, that's pretty fun for sure.

It really looks that way with those cranes and lifts and all that steel.
Are you a GC? I have been assuming that but never asked. I find it pretty freaking impressive that a single GC could manage this project alone, never mind having a few other active jobs going on.
And BTW how's that 1000 lb ft of torque treating you? That overhead view camera angle you posted on your other thread is so cool, idk how they even do that, I guess satellite or AI of some kind. That truck makes me feel like my "LOADED" platinum is a freaking scooter lol.

Yes, I’m running the project as a GC. I’ve been in construction since I was 15 and I’ve always loved it! My mind is very creative and love to plan and think ahead of any potential issues and build a project out from start to finish in my mind. I typically can catch design issues or construction building complications before they happen. I always told my guys, I’m here to help make their job easier. So they can in turn make more money since I’m planning out the job ahead of time. It helps that when I started out in construction, I was in the field. On hand experience can really help out to understand what each trade needs and the flow of work that things have to happen. I’m constantly looking and planning multiple things on multiple projects. It’s sometimes a challenge to juggle everything but my days go by very fast and the end results are always rewarding.

I’m loving all the power of the new truck! The apple car play makes my daily function of driving and communicating between my trades and jobs a LOT easier!! There are a lot of things I really enjoy about the new truck but I don’t want to come across as putting down my old Tundra.

Thank you! I’m actually planning on it. My clients asked for the full resolution photo so they can get it printed on canvas in the barn.

The frame for the center cupola on the barn is starting to take shape. Unfortunately, to much wind in the forecast today to continue work. 9017D06F-9116-4D14-9341-AF742601BBF9.jpg

Great pic. Try these guys for prints. I got a picture that we took at grand Canyon under acrylic. Not cheap, about $200 for 16X24, but great quality. Not the exact picture but similar. They will do color optimization if you want or you can do it yourself.

I wanted to share some pictures of a recent solar installation that my crew did an outstanding job on.
From my first conversations with this customer, he was concerned with not wanting the panels to be very visible and ruin the look of his house. This is a valid concern because the house is beautiful. We decided that the middle roof section would be the best spot for the solar array to accomplish his goal.
My crew did an amazing job with the install including the conduit run inside the building to avoid an ugly metal pipe wrapping a gable and running down an exterior wall. On top of all that, they finished the job ahead if schedule.
When I went to activate the system, I had to take some pictures because the array came out so good.

No time for home improvement this weekend. I put a new starter, stator, and drive belt in my Polaris ATV. Quite a project. You have to tear down both sides and pull clutch and flywheel.

Laid some bark and finally started on the back yard down lights. Still need to complete a bed closer to the house and add lights there as well, and then add up lights for all the trees you can’t see in the pic.
Also groomed the gravel driveways with the tractor and the rake because they were looking like shit.
