Nope zero notice in sound outside. Just inside is amazing and literally zero drone. cruising down the freeway at 70-75 is just as quiet as stock. Which is exactly what i wanted. Wife happy. kids happy. Me rolling down the windows and stomping on it.....happy.

 

Mine came today. My wife said " Thank you lord that is over."

 

Now on to something else...

 

Like I mentioned in an earlier post mine came yesterday before my wife got home, she noticed the big box on the porch today at lunch at texted me "What's in this big box". I had to explain the group buy but told her it was more than half off plus you always wanted to get a TRD system, this one is better and cheaper. She was cool then.

 

Is this group buy still open? Or am I too late?

Anyone get a 6" yet? is it wake up the neigborhood loud? Everyone else seems to have ordered 8 or 10. I want to hear a bit of rumble when i start it but not wake up the neighborhood loud if just cruisin slow in the morning.

 

I'm a bit confused with the resonator option. I purchased the standard 10" stainless, do I need a resonator? Does it come with a resonator? I didn't know there was a resonator option or is it for other systems. Just want to make sure I don't have crazy cabin drone.

 

Comes with the resonator unless you told him you didn't want one and the price would've been less.

 

No one has the 6"? Everyone saying how awesome the 8" is I'm a little worried the 6 will be too loud. Dont want to wake the neighborhood up at 6am driving through at 25. What do you guys think? I like to hear it a little at idle.

It should only be loud on startup. Under normal acceleration and driving you'll hear it but it won't be crazy loud. I had the budget system on my 2013 tundra and my immediate neighbor said she could hear it sometimes on startup.

I ordered the SS Budget system, so I will definitely be waking up the neighbors when I leave. Too loud is subjective, but I'll be pushing the "polite level" in my rather upscale sub...

I bought the 6 inch. Mine will be be put on tomorrow. In the winter this thing will be heard for 2 square miles! ( country living)

 

Got mines put on in about 1hour damn bolts were horrible take off broke 2. I didnt know it came with a tail pipe gasket. So i reused the broken one lol. Ill put it on tomorrow. The front 2 gaskets. Is leaking. They looked fine. Going to see if i order them. @dirtydeeds what gasket do you recommend?

 

how do you know it’s leaking? I am going to check mine just in case lol

 

Most of the time you could hear it. Just put your hand around the flanges with the engine running just dont touch. Theirs tons of space underneath to avoid touching it. And you should feel air coming out if its leaking. If you dont feel anything dont worry about it.
