Im a solid 14-15 mpg in my truck with factory size tires. I definitely get some drag off the habitat though down the interstate. I found out in Colorado idle is not nearly as friendly as the Tacoma, its quite thirsty on the trail.

Thank you for the update! I am convinced with it, upon reading the whole thread it seems like this tune has more to offer than dap. I cant wait for them to open again and the tune to be completely developed.

    Flex Fuel Patch Notes -
    Patch - EROM- v1.04
    Release : ~ expected December 2019

it has taken us quite a while to make some further enhancements for flex fuel trucks based on ethanol content, so that we can create a tune that will adjust power based on ethanol content. Here is our current patch setup for the Flex Fuel Tundra that will make on the fly adjustments to fuel based on 3 determining factors > Engine Speed > Engine Load > Ethanol content.
Our next piece of this patch will be on the fly ignition enhancements based on these 3 variables as well.

Some testing and further tweaking will be done on this patch this weekend on our truck.

    Flex Fuel Enhanced fuel control.
Direct Target AFR by calculated ethanol content.

    Tundra EROM Flex Patch.jpg

Load Based Fuel - adder for Supercharged Flex Fuel Trucks.
Takes our primary target and averages based on Target > engine speed > Engine Load > Flex content.
Primary target + Load compensator adder / average of = target AFR

    Flex EROM Load patch.jpg

for current / pending tickets waiting on an update, we will have a lot of updates out tonight through tomorrow night. We have *almost* every ECU supported now.

Yeah, some of this is outside my knowledge, but it sounds cool.:yes:

I'm going to be creating a thread soon and tagging a bunch of you guys running the supercharger. Finally talked the wife into it. Just trying to pull together an execution plan here in the next 3-4 month and will have a lot of questions for you guys with the knowledge and experience.

Same here. I just ordered the Harrop kit (Non-Flex), and can't wait to get started. I've definitely been educating myself with all of this. Pretty exciting stuff

Sounds exciting! Hopefully see some Dyno #'s posted. I'm still waiting for my tune but I plan to do a few runs to compare stock TRD SC tune, the BD tune on 93 setting, and then OV should be providing a 91 and 93 tune as well. Be awesome to see all 4 compared

With the latest update I received which is 91 Octane + GL, gear lock feature is active whenever S mode is selected be it S mode, S+Tow/Haul, S+4HI. I tested it right after flashing and it works. But after a few days of driving the truck (daily driver), the gear lock feature disappeared. It downshifts like stock tune. The torque and power is still there.

I reflashed last weekend. And this morning, the GL feature on S mode(not tow/haul) disappeared again. I pressed TOW/HAUL +S and drove it hard. GL still working on this mode. I reflashed as soon as I got to my work's parking lot. Still works when I drove home.

I didn't get any errors during the flashing procedure. Now, I'm thinking it maybe my laptop . Too old and too slow to load the data...maybe.

    Dell D620 with Win 10.

Art, were you specifically told you didn't have to press the tow button to activate gear lock in S mode? Notice the quoted response by Mat responding to you...

You have to press the tow still if you want gearlock in S mode.

The latest tune I received from you is 91 Octane+GL-6600 Sep 29. Worked perfectly. Then 4 Oct, gl on D on S mode got disabled. I reflashed that same day and it worked perfect again.
This morning, lost gl on D on S mode again, but S+TOW/HAUL worked perfect. I reflashed at work. So far it is working good again. I will change laptop to a newer model see if that helps. I didn't get any error messages during my reflashes.

I’m not going to really use the gear lock anyway.....thinking we get our updated tune files today so whenever I flash I will test it.

Are we confident we fully understand how gearlock works? Because it has never disabled in our R/D truck ever.

It's important to note, even with gearlock if you floor it from very low rpm in a gear it will downshift. Safety feature, below a certain rpm the truck must downshift otherwise you'll stall

In higher gears when you floor it the TC will unlock, looking like a downshift, but it's not.

    :plane:+ stalling = :bananadead:

I would assume that an aggressive amount of throttle at too low of an rpm would produce an almost unmanageable amount of knock.

Gonna guess (I'm actually guessing) 1500 rpms would be safe. That's about where I'd be cautious with the skinny.

Wait, edit: I thought about this a little more and determined that it's going to have to depend upon a number of variables. Gear, road speed, amount of throttle input, T-case selection (for the crawlers), timing, input from knock sensors, breakfast, octane, N/A, S/C, ambient temperature, intake temperature, ambient air pressure; heck, who knows what else! So it probably wouldn't be a fixed value.

No, I’m not sure I do. I assumed it would not change gears unless I shifted....just like a manual. I’m cool with whatever you guys set on this. I guess mine is working as designed based on this post.
