Was just a matter of time. That's pretty freaking ugly but cool as hell with all that HP

Finally a legit competitor for the Raptor. This thing is bad ass. I wonder what the pricetag will be.

We'll see what the production version has. 37s, bypasses, linked rear, 6 piston calipers, 13" of travel, is awesome by itself plus nearly 600hp. Hopefully it doesn't get neutered like most concepts.

Shit I can buy a used Tundra, a tractor, a motorcycle and hookers and blow with that type of money. Still working on motorcycle. I'll be too old for hookers and blow in a few more years by the time I get the Tundra sorted out and a motorcycle:oops:

Longer list than the wife needs to know about....
    I see 2 issues,
    1. its built on the previous generations body, meaning a standard 2020 would be more refined and better crash ratings.
    2. "the frame is “virtually unchanged” from the standard one", raptor has a special frame to account for the extra abuse the truck is bound to take. This is why Baja teams are buying factory raptors and trashing them vs doing custom one off builds.

I love the idea of an actual competitor to Raptor, and I love the idea of a truck with a hellcat motor...

Now if only we could get Toyota on board and make the TRD Pro mean something beyond bolt on shocks and a bed stamp. TRD Pro should be factory supercharged 5.7 with lockers, Fox/Icon/King shocks with extended travel at a 60K price point and Toyota could genuinely compete with the Raptor.

A boat is pretty useless in SA. I have a boat in mind if I live close to the coast. Only for bugging out though if the water gets deep.

I'm thinking John boat with a 40 on it. Cheap. House on stilts next to a hill. Park the truck up the hill and drive to the store in a John Boat if I'm out of chips and beer or need to keep from drowning.

I'm surprised they're even producing a car with 6 point harnesses. As far as the frame goes, the Craptors were bending at the frame during early years, if they now run a different frame it's because they failed initially. If the Ram will have that problem is yet to be seen.

I don't like Dodge but I like this. The exhaust in the slider is an interesting idea. Full factory armor is a nice thought if it hold up.

It will be cool to see it go to production. Kind of reminds me of the days when the viper motor was in a ram truck.

I like that they put a Dana 60 rear end, beadlock rims, electronic lockers, 37s and a long travel suspension on the concept but I don’t know if that will ever go to production.

I’m sure the first people who buy them will get nailed with the greedy dealer mark up fees.

The beauty of the hellcat for me has always been it is RELATIVELY affordable. Having that horsepower in a production car for a reasonable price point when compared to other “super cars” is impressive and somewhat attainable - moreso than the higher end corvette, lambo, Ferrari, etc. If dodge can keep costs down and provide a reasonable price tag for this, I see it as a direct competitor to the raptor and if the suspension, transmission and frame can handle it I don’t see why it could not overtake the raptor in sales eventually. Time will tell but I actually like this....

That was one of the most fun vehicles I've owned. 8.3L V10 viper motor, 6-speed manual, and a 4.56 rear end. If they could only make that single cab format again with 3 peddles. I had a 2006 Nightrunner #83. Still think about purchasing another one from time to time. That truck had BALLS!!
