Only football cards I had growing up was Miami Dolphins Football Cards that you actually got for free that Police Officers passed out when I was growing up in Miami. A quick google of the cards yielded this which shows the shipping exceeding the value. LOL. No comment on the state of the Miami Dolphins. :anonymous: LOL

But these cards bring back a ton of memories for me. :) ... Would've been in 3rd grade in 1983 and harassing all the Police Officers I saw for FREE football cards. I even remember our elementary school playing a special "Miami Dolphins" song over the PA whenever the Dolphins made it to the playoffs every morning.

lucky to get face value, all of us collected them and nobody needs/wants them. I had Punisher, Death of Superman, Infinity Gauntlet and war, Image (Spawn), all 86-94ish. I had doubles of foil covers, some came bagged with cards. I was really disappointed a few years ago when I looked into it. Funny thing is I made money on them when they all burned in a house fire from insurance 4 years ago.

Insurance is probably the only value they have.

I did have the whole original Secret Wars series. I’d thought that the one where Spider-Man first got his black suit would have some value, but it looks like it ranges from $11.00 to $250.00.

It’s probably because those of us who would buy it are gonna pay more for nostalgia value. I doubt any current kids are going to be asking for a robot that turns into a tape deck.

True. You got a point there ... unless your kid is exposed to Transformers G1 cartoons like mine. He is begging me for Soundwave. LOL.

@War Machine if you want to see all the episodes of Transformers G1 for free, check out tubitv.com ... they have voltron too.

I have complete Topps sets from 86-94. Grandma gave them to me for Christmas. You could but the whole set from the Sears catalog. Early years are in binders, but 89-94 are in original box and all cards should be 9-10’s. I haven’t really taken the time to see if anything’s of value.

    I googled it...holy cow

"From January, 1978 to December 1986 lawn darts were responsible for an estimated 6,100 hospital emergency-room treated injuries," the Consumer Product Safety Commission reported. "Approximately 81 percent of the victims were under 15 years old, and 50 percent were under the age of 10."

Lawn darts had also killed two other children: a 4-year-old, and a 13-year-old.

In 1988, the Commission voted to ban lawn darts sales completely.

Lawn darts are generally safe. The problem arises when they come into the possession of juvenile human males. This can be said for pretty much anything though.
