    guys,

I consider myself decent on working on my own shit. But replacing a starter on my tundra really tested me, I never post on forums but found this a valuable lesson learned for those of you having to replace your starter, I watched a bunch of videos of dude replacing their starter on 2WD and wasted so much time trying to fit it out the way they were, you need to remove a portion of your exhaust which is not a big deal at all. Don’t fall for the same trick I did if you have a 4WD, hit me up if you need some advice.

Yes the 5.7 starters are kinda a pain. But it’s doable. Take that manifold off and it just about falls out

What if your exhaust manifold is all rusted and every bolt you try to remove, break? There's other ways, you can jack up passenger side motor off its mount and have enough room to wiggle it out.

I’ve read that myself, was it also easier if the fender liner was removed as well?
