Water under the bridge, Freddie. My needs were met and I doubt it will be a future concern for me. I am inclined to accept Toyota's endorsement for the fluid requirements of their transmissions over those of a cash strapped and slowly spiraling into financial insolvency GM that would license anything to improve their financial situation.

As to my medications, none are what are called psychotropic drugs, so mood, emotions, etc., are not, nor have they been, at issue. Your smug reference to them only points out the desperate nature of your attempts to belittle me, and serving what other purpose?

Might I suggest you rethink these personal attacks and reread the comments as they have occurred between us in an attempt to find that which has upset your cart. My take on it - not that you will see my point of view - is that you are upset that I haven't taken your advice as gospel, and have questioned your input, as I question most things I see and hear. As long as the title of Forum Wizard is not yours to bear, I will question your input as that is how I synthesize data - from all sources. Might I suggest you leave the comfort of your cloud and join with the rest of us mortals, and stop questioning the integrity of others based on their continuing search for knowledge, and refusal to accept info that has not been confirmed or that raises more questions. Yes, you are a source, but you are not THE source.

We can continue this tit-a-tat, but understand that all it does is separate us, serving what purpose? I am here for my Tundra, seeking the companionship and/or advice from other like minded souls, and for no other reasons. Should I wish to attack others, there is always YouTube and a host of individuals that actually need such attacks to set them firmly on terra firma. I would prefer to not crap in the common room with other members, but challenges must be met. If a continuance of this petty game must play out, at least we should agree to remove it from this common room and take it to private messaging, thereby saving our fellow members from the crap before it hits the fan.

Here here, I and others have too much to learn from all that contribute.

This is the best thread on this site besides Sunny's build thread.

Went to a few trans shops for complete change out of fluid on original OEM trans and was told to do it myself due to being > 100,000 miles. Had the chance to talk to one mechanic at the last shop visited and the old boy told me to use the trans fluid that Toyota originally put in it, and not after market or dealership updated fluids that are backward compatible. Same for don't add any trans additives in the pan, yet I like proven old school additives. However, I won't mess around with additives in this trans. until it's rebuilt or replaced with a reman.

So, on this 2002 Tundra's original transmission with 114.000 miles that still runs strong, I listened to the well worn experts words to spend a few extra bucks on Toyota DEXIII (00718-ATF00) to insure the trans won't freak out before its otherwise normal time to be rebuilt. I'm not a transmission guy, but learned to listen to the pro's in life. Just my 2 cents that might help others decide.

Rich or poor, old or young, educated or not, we're all here with same interest and share or learn or both. How many of these 1st gen trks do you guys see on the road...Not many, and no one else is going to help us. Marbleville, lost your marbles, you walked into it. Lol. Don't sweat the small stuff when others are messing with the name, not you personally.
