    Hey everyone

has anyone experienced this before ? My dad was driving behind me and noticed my bed was sitting a little uneven. The passenger back corner sits low to all the other corners of the bed. It looks like an easy fix by maybe putting some washers between the bed and frame on those back bolts but wanted to see if anyone else ever saw anything like this ?

Sure it’s the bed and not saggy suspension? Take measurements ground to fender well and center of wheel to fender. Look and see if both leaf packs look the same.

Checked under the truck no shims or any obvious differences but funny thing is I was in a parking lot and saw another tundra with the exact same lean. Wondering if this is common or a result of the usual front driver lean.

I think you’re on the right track but it would probably be better to measure the axle to the frame to confirm it’s not the suspension.

I noticed on your name it says you have a 2013. Obviously your truck is a 14+ in the photo. Did you buy it used? Is it possible it could’ve been in an accident?

Yes I bought the truck used from a dealer about 2 weeks ago and the Carfax came back completely clean. Think I’ll take your advice and measure from the axel to the frame to confirm it’s the suspension play the role in it.

So it looks like my passenger side leaf spring is sagging more then the driver side thus the reason why that side sits lower. The passenger wheel well measures from the ground 39 and the driver side measure 39-1/4. The axel is about 1/8 closer to the frame then the driver side. My leafs do look like they are not very arched so a new leaf pack may be in the distant future. Glad to know it’s a suspension thing and not something bent. I plan on lifting the truck in the next couple weeks so maybe it will be more disguised once that’s done. My 2013 the whole truck leaned very badly to the driver side and this one it’s just that one corner of the bed.

Although many say the payload is underrated, I do see frequent discussions on here about rear leafs being “flat” or “sagging”.

Did this ever get figured out? I have a 2021 DC Limited TRD Off Road (white)...and that picture could be my truck. I've owned it just over a month, clean CarFax, Toyota Certified. I took it to my local dealer last week to see what was going on, and they sent it to the body shop where it got a clean bill of health. A quick search brought me to this post. Wondering if it ever got resolved. Love the truck otherwise, and I am adding Alcan springs and an OME suspension next month, so if it's just a suspension thing maybe it will be corrected. Thanks for any update!

Nearly all Tundras lean to some extent. Most people just don’t notice. A lot of guys spend obscene amounts of money trying to get it dead on. Waste of money and time IMO, just drive it.

Everyone is right the bed of almost every 2nd gen and 2.5 tundra I pull up behind is uneven. I have spoken to alot of mechanic shops about it and they all say this is one of those "Toyota Truck" things. No cure from what I could see.

Yea, mine definitely has it. Toyotas not the only ones though, my F-150 has lean and it is actually worse.

My Tundra had a suspension lean separate from this uneven bed situation. I traded in my 17 platinum and got a F150 Tremor and its even all the way around and no uneven body parts except the driver door did need adjustment upon purchase.

My F-150 is a Gen 12, so obviously not apples to apples, but it's lean wasn't just the suspension, you can see a similar "twist" at the bed. It was like that straight from the factory when I bought it new in 2009. We did loosen the bed when replacing the fuel pump and were able to correct it a bit, along with adjusting the rings on the front Fox suspension for the general suspension lean. Didn't fully correct it but got it close enough.

Ya it seems these kinds of things can pop up on all and any brands of any year. kinda just luck of the draw. My tundra was so bad my dad swore it was in a accident prior to my buying it which i knew it wasnt.

It doesn't help that the frame is C-Channel, making the truck more flexible and uneven pavement can even effect how it looks. I can make it look worse (or better) depending on where and how I park.

Thanks everyone for the follow up. Guess I just have to live with it! We bought the truck to replace our old 2002 that carried a FWC Eagle. This one will carry a FWC Hawk that's on order. Getting ready to dive into some suspension upgrades...but was wondering about this before sinking much into it. It will be a camping truck so guess it doesn't need to be perfect.
