I just ordered up a Warn VR-12 EVO that I'm mounting in a Camburg CTE front bumper. Because of space limitations, I'm going to have to mount the control pack somewhere besides "in the bumper", so I'm just trying to see what other folks have done since I'm sure I'm not the first person to have this dilemma.

Installed a WARN 10-S Platinum in a Victory 4x4 Bumper on a 2019, same issue. Made a bracket to mount the control pack inside the Right (passenger) side of the grill close to the headlight. That way I could use the short cable set to the Control Pack, and just run a longer power cable to the battery. Sorry I don't have a picture, but am pulling the grill again next week to install a 2017 Pro Grill and will take a couple of photos then.

    Thanks... Appreciate it.
I did buy the Control Pack Mounting Plate since it was only about $10 and could save me a ton of hassle. Hopefully that will expand my options on placement.

Also, I cant even tell from your image if your control pack is still on the winch or if it was relocated. The control pack is just the top piece with the electronics (see image below)

So many guys on here have Warn winches and bumpers that won't allow for the control pack to mount closeby. I hope they chime in with pics and ideas. @Porschetech29 , where's your winch controller located?

What's the name of the guy with the Midwestern-somethin' build where it's a quicksand truck...just relocated to Indiana from SoCal...going to AK soon...what's his name? He has same bumper and winch combo I believe.

@the_midwesterner that's the one! You have a Camburg front bumper and Warn winch, right? Can you send Jeff some pics of your controller mount?

My bumper has no winch. I actually never ever had that feature on my vehicle.

Perhaps some time in the future.

Man ... I forgot about Alaska. Ended up not panning out. Then I had a baby girl. I’ll try again in a couple years.

Yup. I’ll get some later today when I get home. Bumper is actually off the truck.

AWESOME!!!!! That would be great... Thank you so much. I was going to start looking for longer cables/wires, but if you have something proven, I'll just copy what you did and take out all the guess-work.

I'll try and find an actual pic, but our bumper was designed for the #89970 remote pack for the Warn Zion-10 winch to bolt right to the bumper in this area with the supplied bolt holes. Here's a CAD pic I had to outline the area.

I'm not familar with the Warn VR-12 EVO. Is it a much bigger body winch than the Zion?

It looks like the 12s EVO is actually a little smaller than the ZEON.
