Dealer just sent me this pic.
Doesn’t look to be leaking anywhere else.
Thoughts on replacing now or waiting it out for a few months?

I was expecting a $120 oil change and they came back with a $1700 quote. Guess my brakes are down to 3mm so I’ll order the PowerStop kit on Amazon and DIY.
I have the Lexus going in Monday for $1400 in shit so I really don’t want to do this pump right now too. LMAO

Interesting. Dealer told me when they leak you don't notice the water dripping unless blown to hell and this helps me understand. Looks like you need to get out your tools and start gathering up parts. It's weeping and probably has some time left and not an emergency at this point. I ain't spending $1700 on that. I can get a month or 2 worth of hookers and blow for that price

My 07 water pump was still "weeping" when I traded it in July 4th. Was weeping for almost 5 years. I'd add maybe an ounce of coolant every six months....

    Exactly.
I’ve done the 3.4 V6’s before. I’m sure the 5.7 is easier. Just have to find that precious time.

Actually it was already weeping when I bought the 07 in April of 2014. I still have a near full jug of Toyota red!

    It’s only $650ish.
$1700 was oil change, front and rear brakes/rotors turned, along with water pump and a belt.

I ordered the StopTech F/R brake kit with new slotted/drilled rotors last night. $559 and will do it myself.

Picked the truck up with just the oil changed for $90

LOL, I take mine to Toyota for oil changes, and they include top offs, so I’ll just have them top off every time and send me a picture of the leak :D

The water pump leaks on previous Lexus/Toyota’s were very noticeable. This one, not so much.

You got this. Bet you could have this done in 4 hours and 3.5 beers later.

Good idea. Just keep an eye on your coolant level from time to time.

Ok fine. You can get TRD rotors and pads and belts. G-d forbid a belt. Did one on wife's RX330 and it was truly an odyssey as in a major PITA with a sideways engine. Dealer wanted her in a newer Lexus. No more front drive vehicles. She needs a 4 runner

I’ve been working on my own shit entirely myself for 23 years...sometimes my time and peace of mind is worth a little cash! LOL! :D

I do enjoy working on shit still sometimes, but I’ve done the Water Pumps before, for some reason it’s just not exciting! King’s were fun, 2018 LED’s were fun, but water pump - blah!!
    LMAO

    Time is money.

I just did the WP on the IS350. Pretty easy, but at the end of it I was all like "WTF am I doing this?"

LOL...Hell no it wasn't. So a little background:

Ordered pump online. Received pump. Looked right...it wasn't. No returns after 5 days. Crap.

Had to find one locally. Not so easy, and Lexus didn't have one either. Go figure.

LOL! Yep, and this is the same type of shit that would happen to me!
Plan out your weekend pull XYZ part off after 3hrs....FAWK!!!!....wrong damn part!
    Following weekend, now ruined
I paid Lexus to do my old IS350 water pump :p
I’m also paying Lexus on Monday to do my front GS350 struts (I’m supplying parts) since they do the alignment as well. Sure it’s $300 labor, but I get some delicious cookies, gourmet coffee, and some damn good VanDyne chocolates And a free loaner car LOL.

I’ve split struts/springs god only knows how many times lol.
One time I actually fawked up a CV boot on an Infiniti pulling the front strut.
Replacement cost for the axle - $900.00, since they didn’t sell just the boots. I used shoe-goo and it worked perfect for years, but still - point being, that would’ve been Infiniti’s problem. But me trying to save $200 in labor just about cost me $900 LMAO

I’ve only had a handful of people notice the Tundra the past few years, and only 1 person notice the Lexus lol.
