I am Billy and I live in the Houston area, I am a mechanic by trade, I just got my first Toyota Tundra ( Crewmax Limited 4x4, Premium Sound sys, 7 spk non JBL) about two months ago after been driving a chevy products the last 25 yrs.
At moment I am preparing to upgrade my complete sound system but head unit, it will be all plug & play as I do not believe in cutting into the factory wires, this is my personal preference.
I am still fine tuning my plug & play harness's and drawings on how I want everything but once I start I will post what did also plan on taking some pictures and posting as go along.
My projects - Tailgate pop & lock with individual remote, Sound sys upgrade with google Chromecast, motion override on Nav .
Thank you for this site as it has giving me some ideas and knowledge and I hope to return the favor.

Welcome bud. What's the individual remote on the pop and lock? And definitely interested in seeing how you do the motion override.

    Thank you for the welcome,

    Hello joonbug,
As for the individual remote I was debating whether to tie it in as the instructions say to, as it would operate off my key fob but I really don't want to unlock the tailgate every time I unlock the doors. I have a option of installing a PAC TR-7 then program my key fob to unlock the tailgate with three pushes on the unlock button on key fob but then I would be unlocking all doors just to unlock the tail gate, So I am going to use a separate remote just for the tail gate. As for the motion bypass instead of the switch to open and break the speed sense wire I am planning on using a relay and a button on my steering wheel to energize and de-energized a relay that will break the speed sense circuit.

Interesting. But is there any safeguard from accidentally leaving it unlocked? If I had that, I think I would wonder all the time whether I locked it or not. And I definitely wouldn't want to carry two remotes.
