Ok. Im all in man. Just placed my order.

Remind me again, how do I make sure that you guys fix the throttle limits in 4wd?? Thats the main reason I want this tune. Also, I didnt see anything in checkout that tells me how the process works for choosing which options I want, like different maps, correct octane etc.

@OVTune You still working on tune updates for those of us that have working data loggers? I know I only got mine in on Thursday, but I am definitely looking forward to an updated tune LOL.

Alex after you receive the unit you will use it to identify your ECU, it is then when you are sending the ECU information to them that you describe what you want in the e-mail with your attached ECU info. If he has any questions or needs any clarification or he is not able to do something you request, he will respond to your e-mail before he does your base tune.

@OVTune I need you to clarify some stuff regarding rev limits.

You say you increase the rev limit. Does the ECU still cut fuel/ignition when it hits the new redline?? Or are you removing the fuel/ignition cutoff and making the trans shift??

This is an important distinction because when you jump the wheels spin in the air and the engine can over rev if the ECU does not cut fuel/ignition.

Do we have the option to keep the rev limits oem??

I would never remove the rev limit completely, that would be dumb and dangerous. it will cut fuel and ignition

Will send a few files over right now for your ECU Build.

Also for everyone, we would like to gauge what the most popular tire / wheel size is for these trucks, so we can order a set and optimize shift points for it. Please feel free to post your tire / wheel size, pictures, etc.

    I have Toyo AT2 Extreme 35x12.5x20

Actually inflated diameter - 34.5 inches

I'm on my second set of these. I rotated first set every 5000 miles and got 100k miles out of them. They are a little pricey, but last a very long time if taken care of.

@OVTune Is there anything I can do on my end to help get you the file you need? There's a local shop that specializes in Toyota's, wondering if they have techstream or whatever tools need to get you the file.

I don't pretend to know exactly how this all works... :anonymous:

I just went back through here a bit to see if the new logger was released yet and I did not see anything.

@OVTune I just got the E-mail about the file you sent but I do not have the new logger program. How do I download that?

So in the future when I move to 37's and regear I will have to pay a full fee to get it modified or is it a do over and pay full price yet again?
