Well look at this way, one time to take out the radio and record the info vs. multiple times reentering your station choices. My radio is easy enough to remove that I would take that route.

Yeah it's super easy to remove... I did it like 20+ times in the last two weeks. which is why I don't wanna touch it now that it's working lol

Then a less accurate but doable method...google Pioneer radio "images" and then try and match yours to another - exactly - buttons, features, etc. I've had some success with this type of search.

Next to the lower left tuning button is a small icon that tunes in the stations with the strongest signals. It is pretty frustrating when you hit that thing.

Installed the Katana LED's. They do seem a little better overall.

Vs the Lightning Dark. Truck was parked closer to fence in this pic I just noticed.

    Further testing needed.

Katana LED's seem to have sharper pattern, potentially less annoying to other drivers.

My head unit is from 2008. Out of curiosity I downloaded the manual last year and was amazed to see features I didnt know about. It's funny because when I bought the unit I didnt have internet and got mad that there was not a printed manual in the box.

I grew up in a time when there was toys in the bottom of cereal boxes. I refused to participate on the "mail in your UPC code for your prize" cereal boxes. When I saw "download your manual here" my childhood psychology took over. :D

Yup, I feel you on that. I hate when you have to download a manual, or anything of the sort. A little off topic here, but I have some DLC for one of my video games and my f-bag POS ex wife didnt pay the cable bill so our internet got shut off. Couldn't play my DLC on that game. The internet has destroyed a lot of things, and all in different ways.

Never did get a response from ICON. This is the 2nd time I've contacted them this month with a question and didn't hear back.

Here is what my rear sounds like since installing the ICON AAL.

Maybe the silencer pads will stop making this noise after a few weeks. Wishful thinking.

Mine does not do that. Sounds like worn out bushings on the factory leafs.

It did not make this noise prior to this week. What bushings would these be?

After removing the overload you have a more progressive and free moving setup. I believe that could be the reason you are squeaking all of a sudden. The bushings I am referring to are the ones on each end of the leaf packs that attach to the frame/shackles. It could also be your shock bushings if they are the same shocks from before the AAL.

Ah, I see. That makes sense. The shock bushings are brand new. Installed them with the ICON 2.0's in June. Only the drivers side appears to be making this noise.

Did you pull the leafs off when you installed the AAL?

Can't believe how easy this was to do.
    I was worried.
Only took a few minutes each side.

It's super easy to remove the ball joints if you are replacing them. 5lb hammer pops them out in no time.

The last time I hauled a full yard of anything it was wet playsand and that was also before the Hellwigs. I wanna say that was close to 3500lbs and it was absolutely resting on the bumpstops. That was a little sketchy and I dont think I'll ever do that again.

Here she is today with a full yard of DG and the Hellwigs left at my level setting. I figure this is about 2500lbs but I had about 3-4 inches before bumpstop here.

Nice. I’m impressed. That was about what my (entirely stock) truck looked like with half as much DG.
