Question for all you detailers what’s the best wax to use on Method 305’s I would like to get some extra protection on them before the snow flies here in the Midwest.
    Thanks

Do you have carpro hydro2? I would use that, its so easy to use , looks great and lasts quite a long time

Coat your wheels and never look back. I use McKees Wheel Coating and get about 6 months out of it

I think DLUX is the way to go. I’ve got Shine Supply Beadlock on mine, and top it with Punch It on occasion. It does well, but it was way too expensive. About triple what DLUX costs.

I remember you recommending it before. I have some that I haven’t opened. Unfortunately I can say that for way too many products. I get something on impulse with plans to try it, and don’t get around to it a lot of times.

On the bright side, I can honestly say Scott at DPC is full of crap when he says any ceramic coating will crystallize if not stored properly. I have a bottle of CQuartz that’s been in my garage for a year and it looks brand new. It’s even been opened.

I think you made a good choice with the DLux.
That coating says 3000 miles of durability and says it is a wax. Wax looks nice but longevity is always an issue. The foam wax stuff doesn't say much, but it does have some sio2..at that price I doubt it is a hydro2 competitor.

Just bought some CarPro CQuartz Dlux wheel and trim coating. Going to try it out on our Honda Pilot that has a bunch of black trim.

I’ve had some in my garage for a long time, but forgot about it. I checked, and it’s not crystallized yet.

I am not saying this is happening, or true ,or even that I am speculating....autogeek as well as autopia car care are owned by what is now called palm beach motoring group. They also own pinnacle, black fire, Wolfgang, speedmaster, marine 31, and also....Mike Phillips lol.
I think he is great and provides a ton of info and tips to all of us. The teaching he does is amazing, he offers classes, travels the country teaching the art of detailing and even hosts a 3 day detailing boot camp. I have never heard him bash a product or company in any way. I feel his reviews are honest, thoughtful, and very accurate.
After some recent personal misfortunes with a particular detailing guru /company I think I will always be aware of the possibility of a biased review or recommendation. Again I am not saying that is what is happening here , it's just in my crazy little head all the time now. PBMG does not put out junk IMO so I am sure this stuff is good.

Ok, so I might get solution finish for my trim. But that's it! Promise! What would be the best for the fender wells? Guess I could try feeder tyre and see how it holds up

I didn’t realize that PBMG actually owned those brands. The small amount of Blackfire products I’ve used have been very good, but haven’t used any of the others. Hard to be sure like you said, but I don’t get the feeling they’re dishonest in their reviews. I’ve liked most everything I’ve gotten from them.

The Rag Company is somewhat similar, as they’re only reviewing products they sell, but I’ve seen them recommend stuff that they don’t, and they absolutely avoid bashing competitors. I’ve seen it come up several times. Unlike Scott, Mike Phillips and TRC have outstanding reputations.

PBMG is also one of those companies that provide outstanding support and service.

I know @driverdog uses the Tyre Feeder on his fender wells. His always look great and he is happy with it.
I’m pretty bad about not maintaining the fender wells properly. I used Superior Cover All on mine recently. It works great everywhere else I’ve tried it. They’re filthy at the moment, but I was driving through a good bit of flooded areas last week.

I completely agree, Mike's reviews are always so well done and detailed. He also finds a way to explain things in laymen terms which has to be tough for him being a pro detailing. I have never heard him bash anyone or anything and his reviews are generally spot on and I believe unbiased. The customer service at PBMG is tremendous, I have had several interactions with various reps and every time they have been extremely helpful and knowledgeable, to the point that I get the feeling that their customer service reps actually have detailing experience.
I don't wanna mention and praise PBMG without bringing up detailedimage. Steve told me about them and they are awesome over there, great deals and top notch service. These two websites are my 1A and 1B go to's for detailing products.
