For people with the Century/Leer caps with Windoors. Does your cap windows squeak? Mine make so much noise that its annoying. I was wondering if anyone had this issue or resolved this issue.

Line x was $100 for the strip for comparison.

imo if it digs into the paint already like most shells do, it's gonna go through the clear bra. I think Line-X is the way to go.
But keep us posted on the outcome.

This topper looks amazing on MGM. Because of this thread, If I stumbled on a used topper id def pull the trigger. Tundras and tacos both wear them well.

$100 if I didn't use credit card. It matches the liner in the bed.

The wear isn't bad/fast so I figured I would replace the clear strip every year or two, let it wear that versus my paint. Yea Line-x wouldn't wear at all but at the same time I don't want a black stripe going across or the rough texture lol.

When I drive and hit bumps the windows squeak. I am wondering if it’s because I drive in rough fields a lot. Maybe it tweaked the hinges or something

When I lock them down, they seal up nicely. I wonder what's squeaking on yours.

I am going to take the cap off and see if its the truck. I have read that other people have squeaking problems from the truck bed. I will start their first.

That's what I'm talking about right there! Nice set up. I ordered the exact ARE CX with all the window options, power console and lights 4 weeks ago and can't wait to get it installed and set up. How do you like the cross bars that you have ? I ordered the top rails but haven't purchased the cross bars and mounts yet.

Welcome and that is a great looking truck.

Does anyone have any experience with a shell in an automatic car wash? I’m not so concerned with scratches as I am with leaks

@ScottsTundra you’ll be completely fine. I’ve always had one on my Tacoma and went through the wash regularly. I did eventually have leaks as of recently (after 3 years) but it was from removing it and putting it back on so many times. I just got a Leer on my Tundra and plan to absolutely never take it off so I can keep that nice original seal from the dealer install

Cap won't leak if properly installed. Tailgate, yeah it will.

Some great looking caps. I am so torn on whether or not to order a new cap. I have searched for a used one with no luck. I would probably go with a 100 XR.

I had the warranty replacement cap installed earlier today... it's nicely made, and actually made to fit the bed. I know I will bump my head a few times because I am so accustomed to working out of the high top it replaced, but I really can't complain because it was replaced at no charge after 16 years of use.
