New guy, just switched from F150’s to a Tundra yesterday. I have owned 2 F150’s and just traded out my 2012 Platinum 3.5 eco boost yesterday for a really nice 2019 Tundra 1794.

The reason I switched was I had to fix so much stuff in my F-150 over the course of 106K miles that I could not shaken the feeling of “what’s gonna break next”. Laundry list of stuff to include
    - coolant leak
    - sunroof broke
    - rear sliding window broke
    - 4x4 solenoid (twice)
    - gas lid door broke
    - multiple sets of breaks due to excessive noise
    - list goes on guys, all of these problems were expensive repairs.

I bought a Tundra hoping for a truck that does not sit at the dealership for weeks on end. I’ve only had this truck for 2 days but so far I like it. The motor has a lot of grunt and it came with TRD dual exhaust, it sounds awesome! Ride is alittle stiff but I’m ok with that. It feels nothing like a Ford and I actually like that.

I did test drive a RAM Rebel and it was a very sweet truck but I’m scared to death of the reliability of a RAM. Also drove a new F-150 eco boost and it had great get up and go but I do not like the aluminum body and I my experience with Fords are that they break a lot.

Long story short I’m very happy with my purchase and I hope I have good luck with this sweet new truck.

Welcome from CO. Our Tundra's aren't perfect but overall quite reliable over the years.

Sadly, you shouldn’t have to make another post here about anything breaking for about 5 years. Unless of course, it is self induced by you modifying something that isn’t broken like we all seem to do here. But then start a thread on how to fix it.

    Welcome.

The Tundra lacks some of the bells and whistles you find on the Lariat and Platinum Fords but its simple and solid. Toyota has been running the 5.7 for 13 years now. There's no cylinder cut off technology, turbos or other fancy gimmicks but there are also no surprises. Just a good old fashioned big ass V8.
    Welcome
