A little of this and a little of that.
    I like it. Probably one-of-a-kind.

Looks great with it all put together.

Thanks guys for the likes! I'm very happy with how she's come out. In a week or two I should have my new retrofits come in. Then I'll see which I'll like better on her, the retros or Spyders.

Nice, if you don't mind to share what kind of retrofit are you going?

My retrofit will look a lot like Wes's (TTU19) back on post #3284. I think the only difference between us are the projectors.

I'm doing the same setup, but still thinking in change my shroud for the Apollo 3.0, I'm not sure how bad is the glare produced for the panamera shroud for the oncoming traffic, I have the panamera shroud already I bought the kit but decided not to do it my self and send it to the professional @eledobleu

I think as long as the main housing is blacked out I can't imagine much glare at all. Seems to me that once your headlamps are on the shrouds are hard to see too. I'm also running VLed switchbacks that I'm sure are brighter than the panameras too.

Good to heard that, I had retros before in my old Tacoma but this time I decided to black out the reflector bowl to avoid most of the glare.

And I look forward to seeing them!

As I look forward to seeing @Krezz's rear Spyders too. If his match our retrofits better than my current Spyder tail lamps I might have to switch up to these.

    Bone stock tundra...
Usually I dont ask this question because I have had nothing but good to say about duratracs, however maybe there is better out there.
Whats a good year round tire that does exceptionally well in winter?
I have duratracs on my taco and work truck but apparently prices have gone up on tires. The stock michellins i currently have are garbage in the cold snow, even in 4x4. Im looking for stock size as well.
    Anyone have any input?

Yar, I went with the smoked out lamps. :spy:

The plan is now to get them put on tonight. As it would be dark at home, one of our shop techs has been gracious enough to let me use his bay and assist in getting this installed tonight.

Pictures will follow upon completion. :stirthepot:

Look forward to seeing the pics.

You should fine the installation is very simple. If memory serves me correctly, two bolts and pull the lamps out to the side. Twist out the oem bulbs and disconnect the wires, connect wires to your Spyders (you'll need to use your OEM reverse bulbs, unless you're switching over to LEDs) and reinstall. Should take no more than 30-40 mins all together. Just take care not to have your lamps hit your bed while pulling them out and you'll be fine. YouTube headlight revolution led tail light bulb replacement and you should see a video showing how to do this.

I actually used that video for my reference, hahaha. Great minds think alike. I have some towels in the truck at the moment also from when I just washed her, so those will come in handy to protect the bumper. Good call on that.

The OEM reverse lights will be used for now, but I am planning on changing out the interior, third brake, bed light and reverse to LED shortly through SuperBrightLEDS.com and then retrofitting my headlamps through @eledobleu . Should give it a much cleaner look overall and better utility to boot!

Pretty much. Only pro-tip on this I can offer is to make sure you have somewhere soft you can lay your new tails on (minimize any scratching) if you need to for one reason or another during install.

Lookie, lookie. Spyder smoked tail lights are on and good to go.
It began wet snowing right after but the fit looked really good.
    I'm happy with the results.

Congrats, knew you could do it! They look great ... now I'd like to see some daytime pics so I can compare to mine. Trying to figure out which would mate up better with my future retrofits.

I'll try and snap a few tomorrow during the day if the "Storm" has passed.
Install took about an hour as we moved from outside to inside due to temperature.

We also managed to blow a fuse as we were talking to much and didn't align the first one up right hahaha.

Sounds good  I agree, they don't look like a cheap add-on like some aftermarket headlights/taillights used to be. They look like they are supposed to be there in the first place, I may have to get me a pair now!

@Sixpack, So got my new wheels and tires on my Tundra ...

and have decided I like the silver handles with my black wheels so I'll be hanging onto them.

    Sorry!

Thanks for posting the pics Kevin! Looks like your weather hasn't let up. Still looks great. Now I gotta wait a week or more for my retros to make it home.

However, our buddy Wes @TTU19 is suppose to be receiving his today ... What do you think Wes, black/clear or black/smoke match up better with our retros? I think regardless I'll await for my retros and compare in person and then decide.
