hey @Casper421 Could you do me a huge favor and measure the pocket in your center console that has the 2 switch blanks. the console i got is missing it, not sure it had the pocket with switches or without. or if it even matters

need to relocate the airbag off switch.. wondering if i can rewire it to this switch. which will fit in that pocket youre truck has

Well I broke down and paid Car Toys to fix my.radio and back up.cam.situation...
Turns out when I ran the amp.bypass harness to the rear seat, I snagged a wire on the passenger front kick panel, it grounded and shorted out the radios amp. So I bought a floor model radio and had em.install it and get the cam working properly. I can't.believe my luck. The old radio still works, it'll just require an amp to power the speakers. I'll hold onto it for if/when I find a 2nd vehicle.

Looks pretty good, but the brights seem like they may be a bit too focused and not throwing a wide enough pattern....does it seem that way driving it?

Yes a bit, but I rarely get to use my bright lights around here so I've not had a chance to use them much. The jury is still out on these. I like the color better but I don't know that these are any brighter than the halogens I had in place. Since I accidentally ordered the Katana headlights too, I'll test those next. Hand Model raved about them so we'll see if he was right.

295/75/16 on SCS Ray 10 16 x 8 -12 offset. I have ordered some superbumps from wheelers and once I have those on I'll flex test it again and see what is left to remove. So far, some from bumper material and the pinch weld have been trimmed. Might have to cut into the rear portion on the fender flare and quarter panel to fully clear at max travel.

Yea, he loves those. If your results echo his and the high beam pattern is wider, that will probably be enough to make me take the jump...

Not much smaller than my 315 70 17. I had to do a bit of cutting into my fireawll. Hopefully you don't have to do that because it's not extremely fun. I also rub my rear flares. I still need to fix that. That's a good looking setup you have anyway.

I just snapped this one. I think it kinda shows what I did. Mostly I just cut, hammered, bent, and then filled some sections with 18g sheet. I tacked what I could and used construction adhesive to seal it. This is about a year ago and it seems to be lasting alright. I don't really have clearance issues on the back side since I pushed my hub 1" forward and 3.5" out.

...certainly a very uptight fellow, not that I haven't had the same feeling on occasion. One of the keys to adding on the years successfully is to try and find humor in day to day moments as you can, because there are way too many depressing events, otherwise. As an alumni of the fictitious Don Rickles School of Charm and Diplomacy and adherent to Jonathan Winters philosophy of always meeting life with a big shtick, I must admit to seeing things in a view different than my peers, and the youngsters that are everywhere. No need to be anal all the time works for me...my advice, roll with it. With respect.:rain:

I'll let you in on a secret - I had to look up the correct spelling of shtick. And I typically have Google open when I write, so as to use the correct word form, etc., and it is not unheard of for me to have to look up the meaning of words as I read.:pccoffee:

The firewall isn't going to be an issue for me because of my narrower tires. I am really hoping the super bumps fix the issue. Other than the rubbing the Icon setup did awesome down in the desert. Much smoother than the Bilsteins and I could tell the difference in traction because of the additional travel. Thanks, I love my truck!

Do I do second gen emblems in black or do I do 1st gen emblems and paint them black..

Thinking tundra on the doors too (to break up the grey since I don’t have side mouldings)

I like the 2nd gen emblems a lot better personally. More modern. I've seen one other 1st gen use updated emblems and it looked good.

Anyone have a lead in a shop in Northern CA around Yuba city that can give a good price on the timing belt job? Cheapest I’ve been quoted so far is $950
