It's got a few...2003...with 198,000.

 

It's a 2003...198,000. Yes it has a few more than I wanted but...body, frame...great shape. New exhaust front to back and brakes. Trans is tight....drove it 135 miles back home and not one drop of anything on the driveway. Plans? ....heheheheh....started shopping this morning, we'll looking at least. Where do you guys go for "accessories" on these 1st generation trucks?

 

1st is a tonneau cover...then wait the winter out..new tires and rims. Meantime just normal wear and tear items...new lenses headlights, looking at an upgraded sound system.

What is the inside width of the bed on the stepside? I'm considering one; but wondering it it limits my camper options (like a 4-wheel pop-up).

 

It was getting lonely here with about the only stepside.. I think you make number 4 here.

 

I generally search manufacturers sites, determine what I want to buy, then snag them by part number on Ebay. So far I've never had an issue getting what I ordered in a timely manner.

As far as maintenance, I would prioritize that timing belt unless you have records of it being replaced within the last 90k with OEM parts.

Yes timing belt was replaced at 120,000. I am very lucky, my mechanic is the #1 Toyota Tech at a local Toyota dealer. He has worked his skills on all my vehicles, Lexus, FRS, Camrys, and an old 98 Dodge Grand Caravan. So...when I get in over my head...which is "often" lol, mechanically, off to his "shop" at his house. He has it all, huge poll barn, lift, lighting, heat, almost a "replica" of his daily work site.

Hi Mike, so far I have only done a few necessities, replaced the hood latch, tailgate latch and installed new "stock" head lights and turn signals. Oh...since it's only a 2 wheel drive, ....240 lbs of sand bags in the bed. It's a 3rd vehicle for us just a "grocery" getter...lol. But once I get the "basement renovation" done which is about a week away, then after the first of the year I will start "shopping" for mods. Of course a tonneau cover, then a new stereo system, redo the carpeting, and a ton more. Let me ask you....the "Toyota build" page...would that be where I can post my pictures of the upgrade and mods I plan on doing? That way I can see start to finish?

 

Thanks....I really do like the look of the step side, it's just has that "different" look. Plus all our vehicles, RX 350, FRS, and then this came up...I had to buy it...it's white! Lol

Thanks will do! I can't wait to get my "basement" renovation done...(about a week) so I can start on this project. It's been "years" since I've revamped, or modified anything. So...I have become a little kid with a new "expensive" toy again! Lol...but what the hell, you can't take it with you...right? Lol

 

Good question...I have no idea....but... I plan on going out this morning and I will measure it. It has a bed liner in it but that should not make much of a difference. Will be back a little later this morning.

 

Measured 54" inside rail to rail. As I said ...it has a bed liner in it bUT that's pretty tight up against the side rails. Hope this helps.
