    I'm beginning to think there isn't much that @Darkness doesn't know how to do. I'm not sure what you do for a living but you would have made a damn good mechanic.

    Probably a steering wheel puller. Sometimes they can get pretty stuck to the splines, using those is also cheating. Once you get the airbag out and disconnect any wiring for controls it should be one nut(or bolt) and then pull straight off. Might need a little persuasion but might come off easy to.

    The important part is start with the wheel straight and be sure to mark it well before pulling it. Then get the new one aligned right. If it's off a spline or two an alignment later will correct, more than that and you'll have to yank it and realign the wheel.

    When I did this on my GTI years ago I was in a hurry because it was getting dark. I failed to notice that I marked the wheel but not the shaft. After reassembly the top of my wheel was aimed at 11 o'clock. I had to do some creative measuring to figure out the corrective measure and do it all over again.

    Make sure to back the nut off but keep it threaded on when you pull off the steering wheel or you might smack yourself in the face.

    I just remove the wheels by leaving the nut on loose and giving it a few good Wacks with my

    I finally worked out how to mount my fuel can holder. Just need to buy one more. I also set up storage of my recovery gear and tool kit that will now live in the truck.

    Coincidentally I just bought a leather wheel from an 05-11 Tacoma. Was planning to install it tomorrow, hopefully it fits.

    Replaced the tailgate handle and the steering wheel. Both were pretty easy jobs. After that went and made a dump run. 420lb :)rasta:) of crap. On another note, my truck with 3/4 tank of gas, me, and my gf weighs 5160lb.

    @CodyP yup, leather.

    I figured I'd do a sticky worthy write up later. Not many people would need the steering wheel one but the tailgate one would be useful.
