it might be the rock ring on the RW wheels then. it makes the wheel look smaller than it really is

Yeah possibly. It's probably also the shell too. Too much going on distracts from the tires

So until I decide on replacement? Softcover or diamondback.
I used some Raptor liner. I had real great results a week ago with bumpers and bull bar. I covered all cracks with Flexseal first then roughed up plastic. At least it should be watertight again?
    Love yours. D

worked on my used Snugtop shell I picked up last week end: oiled hinges, new struts (yes baby !), clean up inside carpet, clean up windows, new mounting hardware so I could install on toyota oem rails, adjusted rubber seals, clean up dome/brake wires and touch up paint on small nicks. Looks great now ! tomorrow I will wax the roof with some Chemical Guys. now..sipping some 805s...

So I didn't do it all today but within the past couple months I've added an apex lumber rack and got some new tires. Tires are 265/65/18 Goodyear Wrangler duratracs. I'm enjoying the ride. Tires are quiet and have great wet/dry pavement traction. Haven't had them off-road yet but the reviews are great and I have no reason to doubt them.

it did take some time for both roofs...but with the sun we get here in SoCal, it's a must...smooth as glass now.
