Just had my 275/70 r18 BFG A/T KO2's delivered to the house today. Going to have the dealership mount and balance them $79.99 out the door. Service manager or rep asked me if I "wanted to get the alignment too so the tires wear evenly?""

Am I just being *sold* an alignment? The truck rides great and is in perfect alignment now. I'm not changing suspension or steering geometry at all so shouldn't the truck *remain* in proper alignment? To me this seems like the equivalent of a tire rotation. No alignment when that's done.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Front end suspension wasn't touched right? If not, then no.

If you have to get an alignment, pay an extra 50 bucks and Firestone does a lifetime alignment. You can take it in for alignment as much as you want and it doesn't cost a penny more.

When was the last alignment you have had? How do you know it's in perfect alignment?

    Did you tire size change?

~$100 is not bad to be on the safe side for a set of $1000 tires, but if the alignment checks out fine then you may be a bit frustrated.

Fair point. It was CPO when I bought it at the end of august / beginning of sept. Aligned at then. Doesn't drift, rattle, wobble, pull, anything.
