    Still rolling stock baby....

Damn, glad you made it home. Street flooding can be serious business, I saw a woman's car get swept off the road and into the deep ditch and in front of the 3ft culvert pipe. Water was swiftly rushing over the road and she tried to cross, that car was bobbing up and down in the water in front of that culvert like a bobber with a bluegill on it. Nothing anyone could do at the time and the water finally subsided and she could get out, her car tho was toast.

Oh yeah, heard it only takes ankle height of moving water to knock a person off their feet and knee height to move a car.

    Moving water ain’t no joke!

I actually used that Durango and another car that was flooded to gauge how deep it was. I’ve lived just off that road my whole life so I felt pretty confident I’d be ok.

Looked like it was just at knee height from that ugly white dodge LOL

It helps that you could see the border lines and knew the road well.

Your old lady’s just being dramatic....as all are!

Went and checked on my uncle’s house this morning for him. They just recently got it back in good condition after Harvey. :(

They need to put those markers on the side of the road that gauge depth, like they do in areas that it snows.

I almost started washing mine in all this, but knew it was going to keep raining. We're in southwest louisiana and they started shutting down a few miles of I-10 into Louisiana. Been raining here all week, just not the volume of southeast texas. y'all take care out there man. flood waters no joke. that some of the reason i'm lifting the truck soon(not all, but a small portion ;) )

Jason, glad you guys are safe, man. Im in Friendswood and we were sweating a bit but came out alright at the end of it all.

Picking up our new (to us) Tundra this afternoon and gotta admit, your pics may send me into flood waters overly confident! :muscleflexing: As it is, I probably push the limits in my 4Runner anyhow, as I’ve been told!

    Cheers!

As others have mentioned, look into that breather mod just in case. Yesterday was the first I’ve heard of it, since I don’t do any off roading.

I was sweating a bit going through that water. If I hadn’t had to do it to get home I wouldn’t have. The truck handled it no problem though. It wasn’t super high. I opened the door once, and it was over the nerf bars. I think it got a little deeper after that.
