I can camp Friday night, or Sat, but not both. Sucks.

Headed up Friday mid morning-ish. Not sticking to a strict timeline or anything. When we're packed and ready we'll go :)
Check in is 2pm for the campsites, so no real rush.

I'd recommend camping Saturday night. That when all the fun happens, people share the stories from the day, and everyone relaxes.

ps: friendly reminder for anyone with a 2nd vehicle:
Even though online for our reservations we put 2 vehicles, they don't charge for the 2nd vehicle online. You have to pay the camp host cash when you get there. $10 per additional vehicle per night.
ex: camping friday and saturday night with 2 trucks = $20 bucks cash

Just a nice little informative link, gives descriptions of various trails, their name and road number, also a pdf map. I will also have limited copies of this map printed and available at camp.

Are y'all ready to get this weekend started???? :bananadance:

Our first run up to Big Bear will be Friday, and meet place is in Hesperia at the Starbucks off the Ranchero Road exit from I15. There is a gas station next door so you can top off before we get going.

Meet time will be at or around 10:00 a.m.!!! This is flexible, as long as I know you're showing up we will wait for you!!

We will be taking the Coxey Road truck trail up to Big Bear!!! We will arrive at Fawnskin where we can have lunch and we will be close to stores if you need to get more ice, food or supplies.

Below is a map of the area. If at all possible, let me know you plan on joining us so I can give you my cell. Check-in at SanG campsite is not until 2:00 p.m. so this should be a leisurely run with great views.

    Let's goooo!!!!! :mudding:

Anybody know firsthand if there is a water spigot near each campsite? Or is it where you have to bring containers and haul it back to camp?

    From Recreation.gov

The campground offers dozens of single, double and accessible sites, available for tent and RV camping. Some sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Utility hookups are not available, however, the parking spurs are paved and provide a level surface. A dump station with potable water is available at a nearby campground. Each site is equipped with tables and campfire rings with grills. Accessible flush toilets, showers and drinking water are provided. A campground host is available on-site and firewood is available for purchase at the facility.

Yeah I read that. It says flush toilets and drinking water provided. I guess I’m going to assume that the freshwater is available at the bathrooms only. It also said no campfires, and then it said firewood is available from the campground host LMFAO!

Yeah, there are some water spickets around to use. Bring in your drinking water, but you can bring a jug for cleaning water. I don't recall if the spickets are good for drinking or not (which is also probably your question that I'm not answering, sorry).
