I am currently running a ProComp Nitro 3/1 level and lift kit and would like to know how large I can go on tires with little or no trimming. I am currently running 275/70/18 tires and would like to move to something a little wider and taller. My thought is the Nitto Ridge Grappler in a 285/70/18 and it is about 34"X11.5". Anyone one running something similar or have some ideas. Also looking at wheels to carry the new rubber. Right now my first choice is the XD127 Bully in an 18X9" size. Pictures and thoughts are welcome, Thanks!

    18x9 Method NV +25 offset
    295/70/18 Toyo AT 2 extreme.

    Toytec BOSS kit at 3/1.5.

I have slight rubbing on the front driver finder liner.

You will be fine with the 285/70/18.

How is it that top post in that thread does not have one of the more popular tire choices among Tundra owners: 295/70/18?

For everyone else reading: Yes you can fit 295/70/18 with NO lift on factory suspension (I have a 2wd). Slight rubbing on driver side. I can’t speak to factory rims as I have 18x9 +25

The truck no longer looks like it skipped leg day.

@TwistedTad how are you liking the toytec Boss kit? I’m about ready to pull the trigger on getting it installed at the dealership

I had that setup on my other tundra before I went with new coilovers. Ran 285/65/20’s with the 3/1 nitro. Trimmed the front flap behind the fogs that’s it. Wheels were +18 offset

It rides fine...stiff at times. There are many variables though.....road conditions, tire pressure, etc.

It rides very well but the rear shocks are opened all the way up. I really need to go to a taller shock on the rear. The ride is good and not much different than stock. The tire shop did say it was a pain to align because it really changes the stance quite a bit. Make sure to get a shop the is familiar with doing alignments on lifted or leveled trucks. Quality of materials could be better and I would do as much to rust proof it as possible before the install. I have only had mine in for a year and there is already significant rust. I live in North East PA and the road salt and brine really do a number on the vehicles in the winter. If I had to do it again I would, but I would do a little extra painting or use some rust inhibitor on the parts before the install.
