The wife and girls were out shopping. I was supposed to be working on the new flooring, but it was rainy outside and decided to play some. I did create some new dings in the wall paint that I will have to touch up later. Oh well, by the time I'm done with this flooring project I will need new paint anyway.

    That would be fun. :)

Our dogs ignore them completely. We watched my sister in laws dog on Friday and she went nuts chasing my bigger drone in the yard. Lots of fun till I crashed and she grabbed it and ran off.

Anyone want to toss some advice my way on this ceiling, I’m a one man show and this is killing me. If I had it to do over I would have cut the boards into short lengths but we are past that now. I guess it’s just going to be a slow process. 0B51C377-DBD7-4FF3-AC1B-48A264485262.jpg

I would suggest making a jig similar to the one shown in this video. It’s a lot easier and faster to install with two people but this is the next best option if your doing this alone. I hope this helps.

The magic answer is......hurry up and finish......then you don’t have to worry about it. :D

Eta - totally stoked on the new concrete sealer! We had a nice big rainstorm tonight, and I don’t recall my aggregate ever beading off water like this stuff.
Tricoat White Mountain, Wet Look OX.
My previous stuff was water based, this was not. :)

Garage only had one light in it before so I extended the circuit on the ceiling, under the beam and installed 8' LED lights. Stoked with how they came out. First pic you can see the one light along the back wall, second pic is some of the pipe work I laid out, third and fourth are completed install

Started figuring out how and where to build a workbench in my garage. I'm looking at 2x4 and plywood construction. So far I'm thining of using 3/4" plywood for the work surface, doubled up to give me a 1.5" thick bench top. I'll probably go 8ft wide and 2ft deep so one sheet will work for the bench top. Gonna need another 1/2 sheet for the shelf below and I'll use the remaining half sheet for a wall mounted shelf above.

I have an 8" Record vise to mount in one corner of the bench and will be installing a power bar and overhead lighting as well. Maybe a peg board, but I'm not sure about that yet.

Open to any suggestions on design or layout.

I would use 3/4 for the shelves as well. 1/2 will flex if you put too much weight and is more prone to warp. I would also consider 4x4 posts for legs. Depending on where you mount your vise you may be able to get a couple lags into the post for more strength. Keep in mind you will be using the vise to beat on stuff so you want a sturdy platform. A backboard or back splash so to speak is a must for me too. Nothing worse then dropping stuff off the back of your bench. That also gives you a great place to mount a power strip. I would also suggest building it in a way that gives you some overhang so you can scoot up a stool or chair when working on more delicate stuff.

My tile guys are almost halfway done with this master bath shower/tub wall. This tile has water jet cut glass, marble and stone inlays. The amount of intricate details on this tile is insane! Each tile is individually numbered and already precut for the exact wall size. It took 12 weeks to get this tile from Canada after measurements were taken. 3DD314F4-C01E-4E26-B35B-F756275D0757.jpg

Well this is ugly. Explains why the front door at my folks place won't open correctly though. Some rot from an attached deck and damage in the corner all the way to the roof from carpenter ants.

Shouldn't be too difficult anyway probably 20 feet of new sill plate, maybe 6 new studs and a couple sheets of sheathing... and some new siding where the old man got the grill too close.

No pictures but I added and changed all the plumbing on my hose pipe spigots. The existing spigots were attached after the water pressure regulator making for some low hose pressure. I don’t have a pressure tester but it feels like it’s double the pressure now.

You guys are more knowledgeable than me. I need some help with this door.

As you can see, it's leaning to the left. When we shut the door it doesn't latch unless I physically lift up on the handle. I can't latch the deadbolt either.

I thought about buying a metal file and shaving some off the latches. Any other suggestions?

Unclogged the drain in the down stairs half bath where the AC condensate drains into the sink pipe from upstairs. Man that crap is grody as heck and congeals into almost a paper-like mess. Having to bail out the sink every 12 hours was getting old after a couple of days. I'm going to have to get a pro to put the real deal snake in there eventually

Check the upper hinge to see if the screws are loose or if the hinge is worn. With the door open you can lift up on it and there shouldn't be any movement.

Some of these guys in the condensate pan should help keep it clean.
