5’11” Cotton Mouth caught in Florida. Along with the pythons, we certainly do have some big snakes!!

They are eating good. Lots of none native wildlife running around here in Florida. They are illegally brought into the country and then let go whenever they become too big or uncontrollable. So, the cottonmouths and others are eating good.

These pythons are irreversibly destroying the Everglades ecosystem. Some of it is certainly people letting them go, but some escaped following Hurricane Andrew. They are a plague. I'm conflicted because I really like snakes and other reptiles, but these don't belong in FL. Many other non-native species in FL. My wife got her Masters from UF studying the Mexican Spiny Tailed Iguana on Boca Grande Island. Hate to say it, but these invasive species adapt too well and are here to stay.

 Deadly mf right there. That snake stick is far shorter than his striking distance (body length). OP must have put one in his head, and is using the snake stick as a handle. No release in a safe area if it were me.

The pythons have to die. Like you said, they are doing massive damage. They will continue moving north up the state.
