Brand new, never used Steering wheel for sale. Will fit any Tundra but specifically made for the third gen. I paid over $300 for this one but found a better deal elsewhere. Only asking $230 shipped anywhere in the US. PM me, this wont last long!

I just wrapped mine a few weeks ago. ..I had put it off for 5 months because I was dreading it but it actually wasn't that bad.

 

Would all the buttons work on a 2nd gen?

What is the brand name of that leather wrap and where you ordered? I want to do this but have been dreading it also. Can't stand the feel of the cheap plastic wheel.

 

Do the steering wheel controls work for a 2nd gen.? I was under the impression 3rd gen steering wheel controls won’t work on a 2nd gen and that’s why nobody does it...

 

I'm almost positive they do work but I could be completely wrong

How long did the install take?

 

3-4 hours. I completely removed my wheel and took it inside too, so that I could get comfortable with it(I think this makes it easier). Honestly once I got started, to me the time flew by, it felt like 45 minutes. But I put this off for several months so I was excited to get it finished, once I started.

 

IDK if that would work for all Gen 3 trucks. I'm in a 2019 CM SR5 and my buttons are laid out very differently.

On mine the 4 way button for the in dash screen is on the right hand side, my volume is up where that one's 4 way is, and my answer/end call are where that one's volume controls are. Just an FYI for those looking at it. Not sure it would work for mine at least.

Well Toyota would know far better than I. What they say makes sense too. As long as the items function is rigged up for the proper pins or whatever on the plug, it should function as intended. I hadn't thought of this. Thank you for sharing the info.

 

I would also be concerned about losing functionality of the circled buttons in the pic below. The arrows on the left swap through radio channels, and the two on the right are for some of the TSS features. Could your wheel be good for Gen 3, but only those without the TSS?

I promise, I'm not trying to damage your chances to sell it, but I would hate for somebody to buy it without doublechecking and for it to turn into a big "buyer beware" fued over innocently missed details.

 

Yes, if the buyer has TSS and they get a wheel without these buttons then they will lose the ability to cycle through functions. The same is true in reverse, they will have extra buttons without use. You can still use the newer wheel on older models, but you'll have to splice the wires for the different connectors.

 

It would be sweet if I could just find a buyer with the exact specs already in it lol wouldn't have thought this would be so tough to sell

 

If this was a leather steering wheel you'd have it sold already. Those are a hot commodity
