while it’s never generally never a good idea to eat packaged ramen don’t get distracted by your kid while you are making them and put them in the microwave with no water on them, they will catch on fire. My whole house smells like burning noodles now DB0AF04D-DDE3-4EB6-B294-8B18E9D70D83.jpg

I kinda like them uncooked. Read something the other day saying to carry them hiking/hunting whatever. Eat them uncooked, sprinkle seasoning on to taste.

How did that wine taste above the microwave - after wards? LOL

Glad everyone was ok - you've got a lifetime supply of "wife cooking jokes". How soon after the fire did you drop the first one?

7 foot long noodles and a 4 year old is just a bad combination for whatever room she is eating them in, also the four break method has been a staple for me since college seems to cook more evenly in the microwave

It’s the least I could do as I lay here with a bottle febreze air freshener clutched against my chest spraying it every so often like an automatic bathroom sprayer to fight off the stink

Wow. Glad a fire didn’t start.

Maybe I shouldn’t have my almost 11 year old daughter making Ramen....but she uses the cook top.

I’ll put it to you this way, I just had this happen last weekend:

Kids playing hide and seek, get behind the washer and dryer. Then they knock off the drain to the washer. Well you can imagine what happened next.

    04EFFF62-1CFB-4982-A7D4-CE35CC487D4A.jpg 0A75ECD1-35EB-4CB8-ACE3-D89FFE1995EC.jpg
    2ADE8443-F511-4547-9AB0-07029310CBCC.jpg

It may be hard to see, but about 400’ of hardwood is swelled up and ruined. I hate hardwood flooring. So now I get to try and sand 600’ and refinish all the hardwood or replace with tile. I’m leaning towards tile.

 after buying new hardwood floors I had one of those upright electric water cooler/dispensers leak. Swelled the hardwood, fortunately it was only in a corner and isn't that noticeable. I know it's there though....

Good luck. Hardwood gets beat up so quick, I'm not sure it's the investment I thought it would be.

First joke was actually from the opposite side of our street as the house burnt. The whole neighborhood was outside. I told her if she wanted a new kitchen, all she had to do was ask.

The following day her inbox was full of McDonald's French fry wrappers. She will never live that down, but it's all in good spirit.

We go through a drive through or restaurant for fries now.. Lol

My opinion only, I have installed 900’ in my last home and ended up ripping 600’ out. Hardwood should never be in kitchens, entryways, bathrooms, or my house. Lol

I did all the tile work in my last house, and it looks like another fine job for me again. FML.

I see floors like this all the time being a plumber. It sucks real bad to make an insurance claim but sometimes that's the best thing unless you do floors for a living. I just wouldn't even have the time to replace all that.

I do flooring with my cape on late at night. :D

This is why I never recommend hardwood flooring to anyone. If you have large indoor pets...big mistake.
