You are going to love it. Especially if you are going to be paint correcting the Tundra.

I’m interested to see what the details are. Maybe they’ll make it worth our while to upgrade.

Is that a Scott from DPC YouTube video?:rofl:

Kidding, I'll be entering that contest for sure. I'm also gonna call Griots tomorrow to see what they say about a trade in for the new model. I know my GG6 has a lifetime warranty, I wonder if they will end up replacing them with G9s, thats if someone can kill a GG6

You do indeed, after that initial investment you've kept me grounded. When you ever told me I needed 2 buckets, a special car wash soap, mitts, and something called grit guards I was lost and couldn't see what that had to do with me washing my truck lol. Then we talked and talked and.....talked some more, as the mobile detailer was here doing my truck all wrong. Then came the ech2o and hydro2 and I then saw that everything you told me actually made sense, a lot of sense. The more sense you made the more money I spent, then last week the more sense you made the more money and time I saved. Its come full circle buddy

I am shocked that they are not asking for for this polisher. The GG6 is the same price as the G9. I realize its replacing the GG6, but it's better, more powerful motor, longer throw (slightly), better balanced, and better looking. I mean even at $179 this would fall into the affordable very good polisher category. Keeping MSRP at $149 is a thing of beauty in my eyes. I'll update tomorrow on the possible trade up.

I know right? Still $149, same as the gg6..good cor griots staying true to their customers. Their BOSS DAs look really nice. Maybe some day I'll need aka want a long throw but for now a basic unit is all I need.

I'll call first in line for this deal. I'm your man once I find out what the trade in will be. I bought mine about 2 months ago and put about 8 hours on it polishing out a 1995 Chevy pickup. Oh and I have the HD version with had a heavy gauge 25' power cord. I have the box, instructions, wrenh, 6" vented backing plate amd maybe an extra 5 or 6 inch plate, and whatever else it came with it. We can definitely make a deal, I may have some pads too for you. Where are you from? Shipping could maybe be around $15 ifvitvall fits in a flat rate box. I'll let you know what griots says tomorrow. I have this one I also have a harbor freight DA too that I'd sell, I was gonna keep it and convert it to a 3" DA but I could easily part with it.

Sounds good! I'm in Spokane, WA. Interested to see what they are willing to give for used G6 and on top how much they resell them for if they do

If we’re being honest here, every detailing dime I’ve spent, followed by every dime I’ve gotten others to spend, traces back to you and your ech20 recommendation. That bottle of Ech20 has cost me thousands.

I wonder who’s got the lead in other people’s money spent here. I figure I’ve moved a hundred gallons of Beadmaker myself.

If it makes anyone feel better, @Conflicted and @Trooper2 separated me from about $250.00 yesterday.

Nope. I'm generally more into soaps that have nothing extra in them, which is why I'm getting to like Reset more and more each time I use it. As a side note, have you had any streaking issues with Reload?

No, I haven’t, but I’ve heard others have. The key with Reload is to use very little. It barely takes any at all per panel.

Okay so here is the deal with Griot's trade in program...
You buy a new G9 with orange pad and a bottle of correcting cream for $189. You also receive a prepaid shipping label to stick on a box with your old GG6 polisher.
When Griots receives your old polisher back to their shop they will credit your card back $89. So essentially you'll get the new G9, one orange pad, and a bottle of correcting cream for $100.

That is the trade in. There was no mention of a polisher for polisher trade, it includes the pad and polish.

Of note, the customer service rep I talked to was awesome, very helpful and informative. He knew a lot about both polishers and their products. He was not reading off a script this was information he knew. He also said he has used both the GG6 and tried the new G9.

I have used it, for about 4 months now, highly recommended if you have a good preped paint surface or if you have a coating.
This soap, paired with the hydro blue topper, makes the car/truck look amazing.

For a vehicle that has been coated I would use this every wash, and apply a coat of your favorite topper (Reload, hydro Blue, etc) every other wash.

That is actually a really good deal for a trade in program. Most the time they would sell you the kit for 189 and give you maybe 50 for your trade if you were lucky. Phone trade in programs are usually around 70/30 or worse

It's funny you mention a phonetrade, that's what my customer service rep compaired this too, but just a better deal than most phone companies.

Not bad, considering I only paid $120.00 for my GG6.

Yup that's not bad at all. I'm thinking about it. Also not sure if @Bust is still thinking maybe to get a used GG6 or go new with the G9. For the right deal I'd sell my GG6 and get a G9 naked without cream or pads.
