The JBA are a high quality product. I've had them on about 2 months now. From what I can see via internet pictures, they are beefier than the SPC. It's cool that the SPC have the adjustability, but I don't know any alignment techs that I would trust in adjusting them.

Mainly looking at those two since they aren’t as salty as some on the market. They seem to have good reviews as well.

I've honestly seen a lot more of TC and SPC when It comes to our tundras... But I think my vote sways towards TC and JBA for UCAs. The welds on the JBA's are definitely the beefiest I've seen on comparison. I helped a Ford friend (a friend in need indeed) with the install of JBA's and i've gotta say, the quality is on par with TC. Welds seem to be slightly thicker, but not as clean as TC.

I don't know if I have been sold 100% on their K series ball joints. Mostly because of the way the grease cup sits on the ball stem housing. With heavy articulation the cup doesn't seem like It will allow the ball stem to move without prying the cup off the housing which would scare me if in water crossings after crawling if you're doing that stuff. However, my friend has put about 5k miles on them with half of that being off road with no complaints yet. They've really grown on me since my initial installation. If you're stuck between the two I say go JBA. But maybe someone with SPC can chime in...

@ToyTec Lifts Might have some insights since they sell them!

We do not offer any of the JBA brand so I personally don't know to much about them at this time. The SPC control arms are honestly very nice, and a great price overall. They are a factory style control arm with a factory style ball joint built to be adjustable to insure proper alignment the first time without any issues at all. The adjustment range on the arms are honestly very good, Camber range +/- 2.00 degrees, Caster -1.0 degree to +3.00 degrees!

I had some JBA’s on my 4Runner. Absolutely loved them and had nothing but a positive experience.

Powder coated a custom color. Marlin shipped them to me in the raw

I have Camburgs on my Tacoma.
The Camburgs are nice, but I may have remove them to press out the Moog when the time comes.

If i would do it again, I would get the JBA's for a few reasons:
1: It's rigid and non adjustable. No concern of coming loose or losing adjustment from daily driving or offroad abuse. If it does loose alignment, you likely bent the cam tabs on your LCA.
2: DIY servicability. Un-bolt old ball joint and replace. No alignment needed after. No press needed. Able to swap out without removing UCA from truck.
3: Simplicity getting an alignment. Unless there is a reputable Off-road shop familiar with adjusting SPC in your area, I would be concerned an average alignment tech would not dial it in correctly.
The SPC essentially adds an additional factor in getting good alignment. (front LCA cam /Rear LCA cam / Tie-rod / SPC adjustment)
Adjusting one impacts all the others, so its a balancing act to get them all correct. Adding factors makes the job more difficult IMO.

Knowledgeable alignment tech is the operative word here, hence the apprehension some of us have towards purchasing SPC UCA's. I myself went with JBA's and my alignment numbers are better than factory.20190721_101617.jpg 20190721_101705.jpg

JBA's are basically TRD red. Ilove mine on my tundra. Made the steering feel tighter and more solid. Installing them was a bitch though. Everything is so tight on our trucks!

    +1 on JBAs.

I have Camburgs with MOOG B/J on my tacoma because the thought of having uni-balls in my climate is too time-consuming to maintain (dry lube application + rebuild time = too much time spent).

While the MOOG B/J are fine with the type of wheeling I do, I would definitely go to the JBAs next because of the DIY serviceability of replacing the B/Js without a press is nice.

For most folks, you'll likely never need the durability of uni-balls if you're not hooning in the sand at speed.

Looking at replacing my UCA's due to having a Readylift 3/2 (eventually going to coilovers...not sure which ones yet). It seems like the JBA's are the better route? What are the alignment adjustment options compared to the SPC's? From research, it appears that a lot of shops don't know how to adjust the SPC?

I went with JBAs for said reason. After having issues at local alignment shops after installing my Bilstein 5100's shocks I figured simplicity would serve me better than adding another layer of adjustment to the mix. Sad to say but these smart alignment machines have really dumbbed down the skill level of the average technician.

I, too, have been debating between SPC and JBA. While I do like the adjustability selling point of the SPCs I don't know if I trust any technician around here where I live to no mess it up or get confused (or even offended) when I suggest how to align it.

I am thinking of ordering JBA. With only 6612s at 1.9 the JBA should give me plenty of room for alignment. Plus they are RED which I like... a lot

    Alot of them
I set mine to the neutral position and all the way out towards the wheel. Only my cam bolts needed adjustment during the alignment.

JBA themselves. But apparently the Tundra UCAs are in stock and ready to go. They'll be here tomorrow :fingerscrossed:

Oh great, as if I needed more encouragement!

I'll know on Tuesday or Wednesday when new tires get put on and aligned.

I live not too far from JBA and no joke, ordered on a Thursday morning and they were at my door the next morning with standard shipping. JBA will send email reminders to regrease the joints on occasion. I haven't had any need to contact them but the amount of care and customer service they've shown so far blew my mind. I've dealt with many vendors in the car scene before starting a Tundra and it's easily right at the top for quality. Enjoy your parts!
