    Function before sparkle.
All I can say is as a consumer, it is fantastic to have multiple companies actively building and competing to make great products and compete for my business. I also appreciate when companies share information progressively versus waiting for the Apple style "one more thing" reveal.

To @OVTune - thank you for actively being part of this community, being very open with your communication here and working with Tundra owners to make the product better. I haven't purchased yet, but I am confident that I will soon enough.

The more I drive the truck, the more amazed I am at the tune. Whenever I need power, it's there. This is the way my 2018 should have come from the factory. Can't wait for the updates. I'm sure they're more than worth the wait!

one step closer! got the reg key today, just sent the flash info in... :pccoffee:

didn't see it mentioned, but does this tune have the ability to turn off all traction control nannies by default? every time i start my Sequoia, its press, press hold for 4 seconds, press hold 4 more seconds, then it is drivable with all traction control off! LOL

Logs have been sent in. Looks like Windows pushed an update a few days ago that made some changes and allowed the logger to properly function and collect data. To those who were running Windows 10 and had issues before it may be worth a shot to see if you have any OS updates & then retry the logger.

Not bad for 70-75 mph, 35s and 350 pounds in the bed. All highway miles, but no way I could hit this many miles at this speed, before the OV tune. 75 mph was the speed limit 90% of the time. When I filled up, the tank took 21 gallons. So 16 mpg.

I just updated my computer last Wednesday night and I still had the problem with the logger crashing. When did you update?

This is a great idea! I already have a separate gauge for my batteries so this would be an awesome addition

haha! dammit, I would be lucky to hit 200 miles on a tank. Normally I'm fueling up at 175 fml

I was in D the whole time and I didn't feel the tq converter unlock once. The extra power from the tune sent me up every grade including the more steep ones no problem. No mountains here though.

So if there’s no actual hardware that determines ethanol content, what differentiates the flex fuel trucks from the standard fuel trucks? Why are the 4x4s flex fuel?

The things that I'm aware of are larger fuel injectors and a higher flow fuel pump
There may be other components the I'm not familiar with. My truck isn't a FFV, I'm just going on what I've picked up while reading here in the forum.

You will need a Windows PC for tuning. I agree the Pixel phone is the best phone I have had and the Pixel slate is is great but, for this type of stuff Windows will give you the least grief. 23 years in IT talking. Not always a fan of Windows but, for tuning it will be your best bet.

Well sumbitch!!! I have had no issues what so ever with the flashing or logging (only logged once) then this happens. I disable Security and start the logger as Admin and still crashes.

Did you also load the "optional" security patch? That is the only thing I did not load because it was optional

Is there a way to know what you do or don't have in your tune without bugging OVT? I should have mine flashed tonight, and I was under the impression everything on the website is everything I get and then things like fuel and ignition and temperature tables will be ramped up from a "base safe level" with the data logging. However from some of the replies in this thread, it sounds like the "stock OVT tune" is neutered of a lot of stuff. For example the last dyno results posted tune "options" were things like gear lock and VVT. I didn't request anything, I just sent in the values and information OVT asked at check out, does that mean I won't have gear lock or the enhanced VVT or other features right now? Is there a way to know if I do? Is there a list of options that can be enabled and disabled?

I guess my confusion stems from the fact the website lists a lot of information, and this long forum thread also has a lot of information that doesn't necessarily correlate to the website or is even mentioned on the website. If it's true there are "optional" features that seem standard but actually need to be explicitly requested, it'd be nice to know what those features are and when/how to request them. Between this thread and the website I don't know if the tune I'm installing today is 90% there and needs just small tweaks for the truck, or if the major features haven't been enabled. Seems like it'd help streamline the process too with less iterations if everyone knew all the options when they bought it and could say yes or no to those options right out the gate.

I second this. I havent purchased yet, but the entire process seems a little confusing. I agree with you, a list of options that have been included with your tune would help a lot. For example, I asked if its possible to disable throttle control when in 1st/2nd gear in 4wd. OVtune stated they could do this but I have to request it. Well, I will certainly request it when I buy, but do I also have to request the other stuff you mentioned like gear lock???

They also said some things will change, like tow haul enabling gear lock vs sport shift being used for gear lock. Or the volt meter being used for AFR. Seems like a page in the software listing all the options and which ones you have in your tune would be helpful.

I'll try to clear it up for all of you guys, and I apologize for the confusion.

So there are a few options that we cannot "default" setup for you, because have to know how you want it setup.
    1. is Gearlocking. Do you want gearlock enabled ? Yes / no
    2. Map switching. Do you want map switching with tow haul button ? yes / no
    3. If yes for map switching, what do you want each tune to be? Do you want "map 1, 87, map 2, 91... etc"

other stuff like modding throttle limit tables for low gears we normally don't adjust, but can if someone wants it.

Volt meter for AFR will be standard in all of our tunes once released. That will all be shown off in a new video we make about all of our new standard features

Full LT, full armor, fully self contained Speed Glamper
This is great thanks! What other options fall into this category of "we don't normally, but we can if you want it"??

For example, can you disable nannies? or can you make other gauges do things? Like can you correct the stupid fuel gauge so the light doesn't come on when I have 10 ga left :rofl::rofl:
