Which projectors did you end up using? Any photos of the high beams? Stock LED's in the Spyder DRL?

    What did you upgrade to?

It was the bi-xenon acme H1 standard projectors. Morimoto ballasts. 5000k bulbs. Stock led's on the spyder headlights. If I can find some photos of the high beam I will post.

I upgraded to a 2019 crewmax that has standard led lights. I miss my spyder headlights

I know I will get back lash for this but I feel like the projectors are brighter and clearer then the OEM LED's. I will post a pick of the OEM LED also when I get a chance.

Most good HID projectors will outshine, pun intended, the OEM LEDs, even the acme brand has great reviews on cutoff, brightness, color temp, flickering and whatnot. The biggest challenge is finding a set that is well built, sealed, and aligned right. These looks pretty solid, and I think the spyder headlights look really cool, they were ahead of the curve with that LED tube/bar thing.
I love my OEM LEDs but I won't argue that a good set of projectors do indeed provide more usable light.

Another great post. This isn't tacomaworld, the members here are always looking out for each other and try to be helpful and act somewhat civilized. Again I think you'll be a great fit here, for the few days you remain a member

Thanks for the kind words Pudge. I have been lurking on this forum for almost 5 years and noticed you are from the tri state / new england area and also that you are super helpful with knowledge and seem like a good dude.

Before when I had the 2015 and the 2018's came out, I was literally saving up every penny to get the headlights and harnesses. Now that I do have the LEDs I am looking to make them clearer not brighter. Its hard to explain. The OEM LEDs are leaps and bounds better than the OEM halogens. I drove with the halogens again once the HIDs were removed and my wife told me to turn on my headlights. Told her they were on and the first time in my life being with her she encouraged me to mod the new truck if they are this bad. HaH

Saw the old truck get picked up this weekend and the whole family was sad. I know its only a vehicle but lots of memories, trips, and to be honest the only vehicle of mine that when I get in works as hard as me and makes me money.
