here is the video. part1 of who knows how many.
I cannot even recommend the center brake light. maybe the 2 white bed lights.

as of now i do not believe I can recommend any LED upgrades to the back... its all about the way the reflector was designed making the beam of reflected light while very bright out of an LED...seem weak. Part 2 in the making

its 2019 almost 2020 and I am looking for some bulbs that are plug and play..any leads?????...I absolutely do NOT want wire cutting or splicing. I was guessing that by now someone in china would of figured this out...:blahblah: by now..o_O

I appreciate the amount of testing you are doing, since this is on my project list. Great video!

I went all VLED, and im more than pleased with the results. You pay a little more for the quality, and warranty but more than worth it, IMHO.

You get what you pay for. VLeDs have figured all this out for all and have pnp resistors.

    I didn’t watch the video.

Here’s my VLED 3rd brake light from about 250 feet away. You can easily see my 3rd brake lit up.

VLED is a brand. They are a little more expensive than other manufacturers, but the quality is good.

i looked into the vled brand and it looks like they still require a "sold separately hyper flash kit" for $30 ... so $120 for 2 working bulbs? nearly $500 for all the back bulbs and still cut wires....:annoyed:.... like trying to justify a $100,000 cell phone to your wife.

hmmm.... maybe .... when i look and compare the LEDs on the Shuttle bus that were purpose designed they are so bright that they cast a holly glow about them in daylight from the same distance ...

I want that level of brightness and holly glow out of the back of my truck in daytime driving.

I don’t think you’re going to get that output from the cheaper bulbs.

I know you said you don’t want to splice. I’ve had mine spliced into for almost 5 years with this truck and about 5 years on my previous truck with no issues.

VLEDs new resisters with the Duotap makes easy work of installing them.

I just looked at their site. Looks like their Triton line of bulbs works with their resisters that DO NOT require any splicing or cutting. Downside..... more money.

I’ve used their V3 and newer V6 bulbs. They usually run sales around holidays. They just had a 25% off sale.

If you are open to try something, PM me and we can try an LED we have that requires no Resistor splicing! We have some called the Carbide 2.0 LEDs which have Resistors built-in, but we have not tried them on a Tundra yet so I am not certain if they will work in these trucks or not. Again, if you are open to test these for us, let me know! :hattip:

I am running triton v6 up front with 3ohm resistors. Plug and play no splicing. The 3ohm resistors cover front and rear led bulbs. So no resistor needed in the rear. Or like Michael have stated you can use the duo taps in the rear.

These would be just for a Turn Signal application! :)

Highly interested here...I've been looking at updating (where possible) all my lights on my 2011 to LED. If you need a tester, feel free to send me a message! I don't think I have enough posts to enable PMs (yet!).

I have had pretty good success with the Sylvania ZEVOs for my reverse lights and the brake/running lights. But for the turn signal I have not pulled that trigger, I (right now) don't want to cut into the wires to put a resistor in. These bulbs are designed for the Tundra style brake lights. As far as LEDs go, they are on the higher end and price, and reviews have been good on them. There are a couple of YouTubers who have done LED reviews and these have placed 1st in a couple of their tests.

Bed Lights and I think these are for interior dome lights.
