It wasn't bad. Trying a different one and I see a trend here.

First one is too light for me. Second one doesn’t sound appeasing. In all honesty, I used to buy their beers all the time. Now, with Something Brewery, that’s about the only beers I buy TBH. UpSlope just doesn’t match my taste buds any longer.

When you do make sure you're down south in Bavaria or Schwabischlund (Central Germany) around Stuttgart. People are nicer, prettier country and better food, beer.
Most towns and cities have their own breweries.

I think I have gone through my phase of chasing the most gnarly IPA I could find, or the tastiest or the bitterest or what have you. Since I spend so many weekends in San Diego (brewery Mecca) I've drank it all. I've gone back to just beer, I prefer a tasty pale ale these days over the crazy shit people come up with trying to reinvent the wheel.

The first one was real mild but a nice warm up. Second one was better even though I don't like citrus beer. Not bad stuff but surely not premium, then again the price was right. I'm hoping to visit Colorado next year, I have a sister there somewhere. Tell you what, this beats the hell out of Floridas beer. :boink:

    “One in a melon” / Watermelon Kolsch | 5.3%

Aromas of watermelons, with a hint of watermelon taste. Needs more melon in it, but it’s certainly refreshing!

“Stave the Day” | Double oaked bourbon barrel with cherries | 10%

Aromas of dark chocolate cherries. So good!
Tastes of dark chocolate with a small hint of oak bourbon mixed with a few cherries.

Definitely recommend for one or two. More than that is too sweet for me. Solid brew!

Is there any home brewers here?
Recently acquired some used equipment and planning to start brewing. Sister and BIL are long time home brewers in Denver. It’s another retirement plan I’ve had for over a decade and finally getting it together. Planning to go with extract brewing (at least to start). Preference is for traditional ales, porters and stouts. Don’t really get excited by all the flavored, fruity stuff. Interested in feedback and suggestions for a novice brewer.

There's nothing better than taking a grain and turning it into the final product that is beer. I do home brew and have tons of fun with it. I have a lime lager on draft and I get to open a pumpkin pie Amber ale which I made last year this Halloween.

When my first kid is born I intend on making a Mead and sharing it with them on their 21st birthday.
