I am almost ready to remove the engine from my 2011 tundra, I still have to remove the starter and the transmission.
With no lifting brackets on the engine like many other engines i will need bolts and a bracket, suggestions?

@osidepunker lifted his engine to change motor mounts. Maybe he knows.

You need a special pair of adapters from Toyota. The dealer I bought from had the right part number on the bag, but the bolt lengths weren't correct. I had to trim both bolts. Anyways, the part numbers you want are:

    Engine Hanger: 12281-38030 and 12281-38060
    Bolt: 90119-14120 and 90119-A0166

It took some experimenting to figure out which was right side and left side, just mock them up and it'll be obvious. Also, the bolt holes are difficult to find. If you run into trouble hit me up and we can do a vid chat or something. The bolts are different lengths. They bottom out if they're too long so I had to cut them. Both were too long and the same size so I think I may have gotten the wrong ones, but I made them work.

Make sure you torque them properly, the aluminum block is easy to strip, ask me how I know...

Let me know if you have nay other questions.

I'm assuming you have the 5.7L. If not, the part number might be different idk

    OsidePunker,
    Thank you.
My truck is the 4.6L (VIN M, 5th digit, 1URFE engine, 8 cylinder)

Another question, can I remove this engine with the transmission or do I need to separate it?

I don't know what bracket for the 4.6L, it might be the same. Call a dealer and ask what to buy

Yes, you can remove the engine and trans together, that the right way to do it. You will have to remove the cowl and wipers under the windshield to make room.

Thats about the extent of my knowledge, I haven't actually pulled an engine. All I did was lift it a little so I could swap engine mounts

Is your Tundra 4wd? If so I doubt you'll want to leave the transmission attached.

I could be wrong, but I believe that you remove transfer case from transmission then remove engine and transmission as one unit.

The hanger is the same for both engines, but previous part numbers 12281-38030 and 12281-38060 have been superceded by one part number: 12281-38150 (replaces both). Correct bolts for this application are 90119-A0166 (4 req'd?). Correct torque is 32 ft-lb.

FWIW, the 2015 Tundra SRM engine removal procedure has the automatic transmission being removed before the engine, but not necessarily relevant to 2nd Gen.

I dont understand how they could be one part number, unless that part number contains two pieces. The left and right side are different

Also, I wish someone had some clarification on the bolts. The length is critical and I had to cut both of the ones that I received.

I agree, it seems unlikely, but that info for both hangers and bolts is from the 2015 Tundra service repair manual, 1URFE>Engine Mechanical>Engine Assembly>Removal section. Exact same info verified for 5.7L.

    54. REMOVE ENGINE ASSEMBLY
    (a) Install 2 engine hangers with 2 bolts as shown in the illustration.
    Torque:
    43 N·m {438 kgf·cm, 32ft·lbf}
    Engine hanger 12281-38150
    Bolt 90119-A0166

    (b) Attach an engine sling device and hang the engine with a chain block.
    (c) Remove the 4 engine mounting insulator bolts.
    (d) Lift the engine out from the vehicle slowly and carefully.
    NOTICE:
Make sure the engine is clear of all wiring, hoses and cables.
    55. INSTALL ENGINE TO ENGINE STAND
    (a) Install the engine to an engine stand with the bolts.
    (b) ...

The supercession info is from TOCS parts website. See "Replaces" in following link:
    https://parts.toyotaofcoolsprings.com/oem-parts/toyota-hanger-engine-1228138150

Anyway, use info above as you see fit. Probably irrelevant to the OP...read another thread yesterday that project was complete.
Edit: Actually "in progess"...misread @Danjojo55 intro thread.
