Testing out the Gazelle Tent in Big Bear this weekend.

Set it up in my living room and it’s as easy as it states. Love it so far.

It’s more like Under 60 seconds to set up...

    This is the Gazelle T4.

It fits in my crew max bed at an angle.
I have a Plano box at the very front and I just perch it on top of that with the bottom towards the bed and I’m able to close the tailgate as well as my tri-fold tonneau.

I have been debating this tent or a roof top tent and the majority say to go with a ground tent. I have seen really good reviews on this tent online. Testing in the rain, snow and wind seems pretty legitimate. Plus they have really good customer service for replacement parts. I have a Crewmax, so you are saying that packed in its bag it should lay flat in a 5’5 bed?

Love those tents. Hoping to score one soon as well. Where did you camp in Big Bear?

Does it have a fully sealed seam floor?? I am not interested in sleeping with bugs and insects in my tent...

No it is not fully seam sealed. The floor Velcros to the bottom of the tent securely. This is a great benefit because you can take the floor off and clean it easily anytime or replace it years from now if needed.

Yeah I was looking at this tent but read reviews on Amazon and in the rain the bugs will find a way to get in....I rather shop vac clean a full seal floor if it gets dirty...

So in the bag will it fit length wise in a 5’5 bed or do you have to angle it?

Needs angled, it will fit tight lengthwise, but will rub holes in the bag and tent.

The floor isn't sealed, so it's not waterproof?

I guess that eliminates the Gazelle from my list then. A tent that isn't fully waterproof isn't much good to me. :(

There are a lot of overland reviews on this tent of people using it in rain and they've come out dry. The floor of the tent where the velcro attaches is about 6 inches up.
So if you're not camping on flooded land you should be fine.

We camped at Hanna Flats. It was just under 40 degrees at night and mid 70's during the day.

If you camp out there around this time you will need some layers. We had a buddy heater that kept it nice and cozy.

Lol! no sir. It was my wife and my baby daughter in the tent. We reserved 3 campsites. This was the hang around the fire pit spot.

My whole fitment issue is that i want my tri-fold as well as the tailgate to close.
So i perched it on top of my Plano box to give me that slight angle.

Honestly. The Set up and tear down of this tent is worth all the money alone.

Cool. Looks like the same concept as my shelter. This one doesn't have a floor and you can add covers to the sides that attach with velcro. I have to lay it down diagonally in the bed of it won't fit in a crewmax bed.

There are a couple companies out there with this configuration. I even saw a Festival Tent exactly like this made with heat reflective material.

What brand is this shelter? Gazelle makes these too and was looking to buy one.
