I just bought a 2019 Tundra 1794. Does anybody have any opinions or advice on aftermarket LED headlight bulbs?

    I like this company:

    https://www.online-led-store.com/

It's run by a couple of local guys close to where I live and I like supporting local businesses. I haven't tried their headlight bulbs but their spot/flood lights are top notch and reasonably priced. On a side note, as is mentioned frequently in other threads like this, LEDs and halogen lamps produce light differently and you may not be able to exactly reproduce the headlight pattern of your halogen bulbs with LEDs. When I was looking into this I found it to be a very polarizing topic. Some people had great results and loved the LEDs, others hated them.

Auxbeam NF-S1. I have them in my headlights and fog lights and produce very good light. Beam pattern is just like stock halogen bulbs. I only had to dip the headlights down 1 click since they're brighter. These bulbs are very good because the Led chips are arranged in the exact location and position as halogen filaments as well as having the reflector cup above the low beam for proper pattern.

Did you need any additional hardware/wiring/resistors to use these? Ive got a 2014 Limited with the stock setup and was wondering...

Auxbeam can be a hit or a miss. We've had some tests where they are good, and others where they are not so good. Those pictures look nice though @TundraTSS19! :) I hope you have good luck with them.

Anyone with Aux beam LEDs installed have to deal with state inspections? Has your truck passed with these installed?

Just about any LED bulb replacement will not pass an inspection, as they are not DOT approved for the roads. There are aftermarket headlight housings that are DOT/SAE Approved such as Morimoto and 7" rounds like J.W. Speaker and VisionX, but as far as bulb replacements, the bets are off unfortunately. Just swap over to Halogen when an inspection is coming up and you're golden! As far as legality with police and such, as long as you aren't blinding everyone and driving down the roads with your 6 light bars on, you will be just fine. :) I do know that some states and specific countys may be more strict than others, so it may be best to consult some local shops and such to make sure!

I remove my lightbar behind the grill currently for inspections (reminds me I have to do that before my sched inspections next week). Funny thing is when I had my stock SR5 grill and the lightbar it passed. With the TRD pro grill they clearly see the lightbar and fail automatically.

If I end up doing LEDs, ill just add swapping them back to halogen on a yearly reminder.

Will they not pass you if you maybe had a Light Bar Cover? Or is it just technically a Mod? I know my friend just covers his with a plastic cap it came with and he passes every year. :) SR5 Grills FTW!

Having the lightbar behind the grill, I cant easily put a cover on it...at that point ill just disconnect and remove the lightbar for inspections.

no, for replacement of his stock LED HL's. he stated in the OP that he has a '19 1794 and was looking for advice or opinions on aftermarket. why? is the quality that bad in our oem's or is the quality that good in aftermarkets?

I'm not quite sure! Personally I think the Bi-LEDs are fantastic in both performance and with that crispy white DRL bar surrounding the headlights. The only Aftermarket headlight assembly I could recommend would be the Morimoto XB LED Headlights, as they have done an amazing job at not only keeping OEM quality, but they are also DOT Approved and look just gnarly. Other than that, brands like Spyder, Anzo, ProTuningLabs, etc would definitely not be an upgrade over the OEM Bi-LEDs, but more of a loss in quality and functionality.

I love the look, and what appears to be quality, of the XB LED HLs but cant justify the jump in price over what i think are very good OEM LED's. I am going to be getting XB fogs for the gf's 4runner and we want to upgrade her HL's to LEDs. @Headlight Revolution any remedies for the 4runner that you guys have, which are an upgrade over OEM?

For sure! There are XB LED 4Runner Housings as well, but they are higher up on that price point.

The other great option for the Low beams would Be either in HID kit or an LED low beam kit. We have both the GTR lighting 55w HID kit in a 6,000k color will do fantastic for the Lows, while matching the XB Fog lights in color as well. The big positive to this kit is that it is backed with a Lifetime Warranty, no questions asked!
    Link: https://headlightrevolution.com/2014-2019-toyota-4runner-gt-hid-kit-low-beam/

For an LED option, the V.4 is a solid Plug and play bulb that rivals an HID kit in performance and beam pattern, backed with a 2-year warranty. These are also in that 6,000k color field which will be pure white on the road, but Infront of the truck, you will see a very very slight Hugh of light blue to it, almost like the newer BMW, Audi, Mercedes LED Headlights.
    Link: https://headlightrevolution.com/2014-2019-toyota-4runner-sv-4-led-low-beam/

As for the High beams, the V.4 is the absolute best option for this application, the V.4 really excels here.
    Link: https://headlightrevolution.com/2014-2019-toyota-4runner-sv-4-led-high-beam/

(Please read the DRL message before purchasing!)

Hope that helps homie! Just let me know if you have any questions.

So far so good. They've been installed 9 months now and never had an issue.

My experience with trying AuxBeam bulbs in my original housings was a bust. A little better than the halogen bulb but light patterns were crappy and the high beams were really poor. Bit the bullet on the OEM TRD Pro LED housings and they are awesome - well worth the $$$.

I used the harness from @iHacker and the swap was a breeze. Highly recommend doing the housing upgrade.
