Called Alcan spring and it’s roughly about 770$ Skyjacker has 4-4.5 for $ 604. Spoke to the installer this AM he said I must have a broke leaf pack. He said he has not seen one in awhile on Tundra. I am going to met him this afternoon and see what they come up with before I go to the dealer. Spoke with RC they have not heard of any issues on Tundra like this. So if I go after market spring what would make my truck level of give me about .50 inch of rake? Replace the bad spring by factory and put bigger and stronger bump stops? Any thoughts. Thanks again for all the help.

2 inches in the front pretty much levels the truck. So if you went 6 inches you need at least 4 inches in the back. But these trucks always seem to look a little nose high because of the shape of the body and wheel wells when leveled. I would lean more towards 4 1/2 to 5. But that’s my preference. You could get the 4 inch springs and upgrade your shackle to something adjustable that you could fine tune the height you want.

Maybe someone wants to chime in on toy tech adjustable shackles. I read a few times that they don’t work well on the lowest setting. Something interferes.

Thanks if I have to I will probably go with skyjacker springs. What do you think if I can get it replaced by the dealership stock again and use the big bump stops?

Are you talking about something like sumo‘s, or Timbren? If so I’m not experienced in that area. They will limit your travel that’s for sure. But some say they like the ride. If your leaf pack is broken, that sucks! I can only assume that broke because of axle wrap caused by the large lift blocks. But it doesn’t seem like they should break so soon. So far I have not had any issues with my leaf springs although I have no lift block, just shackles.

I had Timbren's at one point in my Tundra life, they were massive. And it seemed they're always in contact with the frame, making the ride very rough. I replaced them with airbags and was very happy. Fast forward to my new(er) Tundra and I'm back to stock bumps in the rear. In the front I've changed to Durobumps.

Back to your rear unevenness question... I know Ekstrom has said shimming the opposite front corner can help remove/untwist the rear unevenness. I'm skeptical your leaf springs are busted. His 1/4" shims are $25 a pop, much cheaper and easier to experiment with than a new leaf pack.

I agree with others that the lift blocks in the back are what cause premature failure of the leaf springs. They are clearly worn out because they are inverted.
Getting them warrantied out by the dealer will be a waste of time. You’ll be right back here after a while. Not only that, but I would imagine they would deny any warranty claim and say the same thing as all of us here: your leaf blocks caused this.

Quit thinking cheap and pony up for some Deavers or alcan customs springs. Buy once cry one.

My rear passenger bed was was close to 2 inches lower than the other 3 corners. After the shim installed it leveled my truck out. It definetely didn't bring the passenger side back down or I would've tried something else. The shim is still on top of my driver coilover and the rear passenger corner isn't sagging.

Interesting. Was your driver side front having the typical driver-side sag that these trucks get with aftermarket shocks? Or were you pretty much level side to side in the front?

Just a question, if one of the leaf springs is worn or broken, in this case causing the passenger rear to sag over two inches, wouldn't the driver front measurement measure higher than the passenger front? assuming the frame is straight and it's on level ground etc...

Right, I think both sides measured 29.5 in the front.

I guess what I was trying to say is if the passenger leaf spring was broken and causing the sag wouldn't the front drivers side measure higher?

Hey guys. Just left the installer he stated that I must have a weak spring. Both springs had same part number on them. He said at one time Toyota was putting strong spring on the driver side for the weight for the gas. So he told me to go to dealership and check out the other trucks that a 6 inch lift. Then have the parts guy to him and he will get it took care of. He said warranty will cover it or should cover it 100%. He also said most of the time there will be .50 differences on left to right. Not 1.2-2 inch.

what's the point of getting the stock springs, it's going to fail again and again.

Per the installer and RC they have never seen anything like this. The installer said to wait and see what happens and if not go with sky jacker springs.

Yes. I have a set of sumo now like 1500 pounds. I have used Timbren on my super duty’s and liked them also.

I asked that question to them and they seem to think the driver side should be higher but it not.

Every 14+ spring I have seen has been messed up I put my ads shocks on tonight and my springs are junk. 35k miles and a 2 inch block. Never had any issues with my 08 or 2010. Trying to figure out if I want to have my k37s rebuilt or go u748s. Ain’t keeping stock that’s for sure.

Never heard of deavers I will check them out. I spoke with Alcan 2 times today. 1 time about the price and 2nd about what they wanted measured. They told me my rear will ride to high. Skyjacker will not but I will look at Denavers

That doesn’t make sense. They will build you anything you want. How could it be to high if they build the height you want ?

Called Denver Springs. They only have stock heavy duty spring. I will still have to use blocks for the lift. I could possibly do a shackle and a block.

The lady I spoke with said that it will ride high in the back until it settles down. So I am going off what I was told.
