We were deer hunting last fall and drove my 12" Bulletproof lifted Big Blue Toyota Tundra over what looked like a meadow. Well, it turned out to be a swamp and it sank down right to the frame, the 37" tire was completely submerged under water. 6 hours and 40 tree trunks later we built a bridge under it and managed to get it out!

Hey man, you use the tools you have available.

I have an entire garage full of tools but I keep a leatherman skeletool on my belt loop. One day my son asked me what my favorite tool was.

I told him it’s the skeletool because it’s always there when I need it. it’s never the best tool for the job but it’s always there and it gets the job done.

I hate lowering trucks lifted with a hi-lift. I'm always scared to lose teeth.

Great video and good idea using tree trunks. Sucks when it happens, but later makes for a good story and great memories! And yeah, it looks like a meadow. Never would’ve thought it was a bog that would sink it down so much.

Unlike you, a buddy and I purposely drove his jeep into a swamp. We were young and dumb and thought nothing could stop his little jeep. So dumb, we drove in there knowing it was full of gators and water moccasins. To add to our stupidity, we also went in solo. Looking back, I’m surprised we got as far as we did before getting stuck.

After a few minutes standing around in shin high murky swamp water, we were soon visited by dozens of deer fly. They’re not as big as horse flies, nor do their bites hurt as bad, but they still hurt and still leave little welts. Facing off one or two isn’t bad, but dozens will drive you insane quick.

We didn’t care about stepping on gators, water moccasins or snapping turtles. We just wanted to get the hell out of there! We ran through that swamp and back to the neighborhood for a mile or so with those blood sucking demon deer fly chasing us all the way.

We dreaded going back, but we layered up with long clothing and insect repellant as another neighbor with a built rig winched us out. That was about 35 years ago and I laugh about it now.

It was uneventful, after we lowered the truck onto the wood bridge, we hooked up my dad's Highlander and drove out without an issue.

I could fit 40's on it now, but they would rub when flexing out.
It would be fine for a pavement princess, but since I actually off-road the truck, it would not work.
I'll be getting a 3" body lift once the kids grow up a bit and I don't have to manually load them into car seats, after that 40's will be going on

That is weird. Such a random and invisible hole. No way you could have seen that until you were in it.

I'm usually good at recognizing accents but I'm at a loss here. In my best TN accent, "where you boys frum" ?

Yeah, that hole definitely crept up on us.

Two of the accents are from Russia, one from Bosnia and the last is a regular Alberta farm boy accent lol
