Oh this makes sense now. I went out and looked at mine, took a tape measure, and figured I was a total mental case.

I have the R4 tire/wheel setup. I’m thinking 1.5” on each side will make my ass end about perfect.

We got 24 round bales delivered yesterday. Heavy little suckers, but the L2501 with the BS10 bale spear handled them with ease.

Always been a New Holland/Ford (Blue) tractor guy, never had major issues using them on the farm. Plus the local dealers are close which is a key factor in choosing equipment.

But my FIL just got a 2018 L2501, going to be interesting to see how it holds up. Seems like a nice small tractor, he got a bunch of attachments with it and the quick disconnects are nice.

I don’t know how I missed this thread. I’ve always enjoyed operating tractors and heavy equipment since I was young. The Kubota equipment has always been reliable and easy to operate. A5246A50-9B26-44A0-8E75-C827AB236D44.jpg

Ah. looks about the same size as the one I used to use at school. it was our largest tractor and was one of the more fun ones to drive. Not as fun as the old 870 because that was a manual so ripping through the cross country trail bangin gears was always a blast

Anyone have an older tractor along the lines of a Ford 600/800 series? I am looking at getting one and trying to figure out the best way to load it, forward or backward.

    How big is your trailer?

I have a 16’ equipment hauler and load my Kubota L2501/LA525 loader and brush hogg nose first. My rear tires are filled with beet juice ~700 lbs of counter weight. Total weight of tractor is 4747 lbs plus trailer weight of 3000 lbs, or 7747 lbs with pretty good tongue weight.
