Honestly I’m debating if i want to fix it. Usually when I’m starting it with the key fob I’m walking to the truck and having the a/c and heater start for my wife and kids before I jump in and if I change my mind I’ll just splice the wire mentioned earlier

I was part of the very early initial issue so I think he sent it as a courtesy to test it as soon as possible. He gave me a shipping label to return the original one.

Do anyone here if you remote start your truck it will honk first feeling like you are stealing it before the engine starts?

After I connect the White wire to black wire . That was the time . All doors are lock then honk horn few times then the engine starts. Good thing or bad but I already reported to James and he will send me a new module.

There's a slightly newer kit that they built a t-harness for the TPMS plug. It's a fully plug-and-play kit, pretty much the only one on the market for 2018+ as far as I could find. Literally the same equipment as James' minus the TPMS harness. For double the group buy price.

Had mine for about a week & finally got around to installing it today. Everything is wired up with t-harness (posi-tap for key sense wire) and it’s programmed correctly (getting correct light sequence on module per instructions). Hitting lock 3 times isn’t starting it though. Nothing happens (besides the truck locking the doors three times.) I’m not doing it too fast or slow. (The blue light on module is illuminating when pressing lock each time.)

I called James today & was surprised he answered (Saturday of holiday weekend). But then again not surprised after hearing all the positive remarks of his customer service. He walked me through everything, still no-go. Won’t start. I sent him the service number on the module - he’s going to look up my module to see if this particular one needs hood switch...or something like that.

I told him to take his time & not stop his weekend plans for it...sounded like he was on the road.

But....I will bug you guys about it. :)

    Anyone have any ideas?

Try a long zip tie like the ones at Harbor Freight if there's a store nearby

Fortin updated their software. You can probably DIY via their website, but James being the guy he is- saves you the trouble and sends you a unit with the most up to date software.

I can reach my hand from one side to the other and grab it, but a couple of zipties and some tape work well too

Here's the length of the zip tie
    20190831_192334.jpg

Feed the zip tie from the passenger side

    20190831_192534.jpg

Once it's on the driver's side, tape up your harness and pull it back to the passenger's side

Please excuse my blue led lighting

Did anyone get the group buy shipped yet? Just wondering if I jump on the group buy how long it will take. I bought a 12voltsolutions for my wife’s highlander and had it installed in an hour. Yes it’s splicing one wire but for $200 you can’t complain. Does anyone know the difference between this one and the 12voltsolutions?

    @james@tech12volts

Do you offer any kits compatible with a 2008 Toyota Sequoia Limited?

I know some 2007-Up Tundra parts are cross compatible

Also do you offer any kits for a 2006 Toyota Tundra Double Cab?

I'm glad I bought the mycar module with mine. Works great and only 1 plug to connect to the fortin module. No limits on distance as long as you have a cell signal you can start, unlock and lock the doors.
