Did an interesting thing today. Love my 1st gen, but hate the 1/2 doors & really want the magic back window. So I posted mine on C'list, I'll see if there's any interest & hopefully it will help fund the unobtanium dream 1st gen. Prices are all over the place so I've really had to make a best guess. I can support asking more & I can support asking less - it's pretty crazy, but these trucks are pretty special.

Hopefully you find an 05-06 or a supercharged 03-04 lol. I feel like a naturally aspirated non-vvti 4.7 DC would be a gas hog with no balls.

When I test drove my tundra, I thought "it's just a big Tacoma" and immediately the truck and I became one. It even resembles a big Tacoma.
It's crazy how when I drive the f150 at work and it's almost a chore. Then I get in my truck at the end of the night and it's like an extension of my body.

Woops I should have marked them for you. However, I do remember which is which by looking at the Bilstien stickers right above the lower mount. The stickers should be pointed outboard. The angle of the lower mount in respect to the orientation of the top plate (3 studs) should also help you, as they can only go in one direction without rotating the components around. So when you're about to install, try to place one strut in there with sticker out, and if it doesn't slide in perfectly, then try the other one.

Not exactly cheap therapy, but I think it does the trick. I'm getting the itch to get out. I don't think I've been shooting or even driven on a dirt road in maybe 3-6 months. Too much garage time and not enough fun.

These things drive like big go karts compared to the American trucks. I love them lol. Tundra just feels like a bigger more refined first gen taco. But with gobs more power

LOL - There's this one hill, I always downshift the Tacoma - but the Tundra just carries on like it's a flat Florida highway. Always makes me smile.

So far just trolls responding to my ad.

I have an extra tailgate handle you can have if you want to pay shipping. It's used but works.

Saw a pretty clean white one today rolling on 295/70/17s. He has fiberglass fenders, fox 2.5s up front with SPC arms and fox 2.0 out back.

Just traded some work for a center console for the tundra. Colors oak instead of fawn, but it’s close enough for now. I might paint the whole dash and center console black with sem paint. Who knows. But truck will now have 6 cup holders. (That’s a big selling point these days!)

FYI - bottled water (16.9 oz) falls over/out of those holders. Use larger containers.

lol. I like the size and all the storage. But I’m also considering the jl stealth sub. I’d lose a lot of storage. But the sound system would be great!. Probably won’t do it though

    Cleaned the badges a little.
Had 10 minutes & the rain stopped, so I went out with a damp toothbrush to get around the badges. Figured the rain will come back & rinse it off. Nope, sun came out & started drying all the slop, so had to get a jug of water to rinse. Oh well. Not perfect but much better.

I haven't driven mine in a week. The kid started middle school this year so she gets on the bus at 645, which means the wife and I can carpool so we're saving almost $65/week in fuel.

Make sure you put it on some kind of battery tender or you’ll need a battery next time you use it.

I'll be driving it tomorrow, this was a one off deal that it went longer. Usually one of us has something going on after work at least once a week.

Going to look at a 2006 quad cab tomorrow, it has 215,000 miles which is 40,000 more than my 2000 but I need the extra space and this is the local Toyota mechanic personal truck.
