    Not quite yet:( she is still coughing and gagging. No vomit. Holding food down. Still no BM, so worried a little. If cough doesn't go away I will be taking her back to the vet.

    I am having issues with her that started sunday. She was vomiting all day and night. Started out with food contents and then went to a frothy white that was rather viscous in nature. Took her to the vet and they put her on 2 stomach meds, names escaped me now. She hasn't vomited since Monday morning. Is eating and drinking fine. Now it almost sounds like a cough. Does a couple of those then gags and swallows. But no vomiting. Finally had a BM and it was normal not diarrhea and no foreign objects.

    British black lab. 100 lbs. Female. Spayed. They did labs on her and said everything was in normal range except here fever was 104. Went down during the day monday to 103, was 101 when I picked her up.

    interesting. did they happen to put her on sucralfate/carafate? with that much vomiting maybe she has a little esophagitis(inflammation of esophagus due to gastric acid irritating her esophagus). Also with that much vomiting, she may have aspirated a little causing aspiration pneumonia which would cause coughing and a fever......

    I was wondering about the lungs. I should know the names. Phenergan is one I believe, other escapes me. One med is BID and the other is QD.

    Does aspiration pneumonia needs antibiotics in dogs? How should lungs sound on dogs? I can us my stethoscope to listen.

    Thanks. I need her to get better to get her out on birds. She fell in love with it last year. My accident put a stop mid season. Shes itching to get back out. Pointed a few birds out a couple weekends ago hiking. Shes a natural when she gets away from me. She wants to follow not lead is her problem.

    I have been working on that same issue with my Vizsla. He’s a great bird dog with an amazing nose but I have trouble getting him to lead. My lab on the other hand I have to try and rein in. He’s a machine. If you and Loki are up for it I have a good quail spot right on the snake. Maybe we can all meet up for a hunt this season.

    Nope. Laundry room is shut up. Its were I keep other chemicals as well. Dont want cat or dogs to get in there. It had to be something outside. Only time she isnt around me all the time is when she is outside.
