What a mild Summer it's been and the long range forecast (14 day) looks spectacular with average highs in the low to mid 80's and little to zero precipitation. July was a busy work month but I still got the dirt bike out on the trails, relaxed at the beach, got the pool out, cleaned up the yard, etc. August holds a nice camping trip to Central Oregon and few more times to rip up some dirt on the moto.

Yeah it sure is nice out today. Its my Saturday so i am getting ready to go knock out todays workout and fire up the new smoker. I picked this thing up a week ago and so far have made papa murphy pizzas, 8 lb pork butt for pulled pork, smoked Italian meatballs, and tonight I have bacon wrapped chicken breasts and a couple wagyu top sirloins going on.

3 limits of bay clams; mostly butters and cockles. A few short necks and 1 gapper.

    Rockaway.

Anybody know what happened on 26w today in Hillsboro? That accident caused me to drive circles around Hillsboro trying to figure out where to get on the highway. Hope those involved are ok.

Fried the butters, set the cockles aside to do chowder later. What a beautiful day!

Yes! So does grouse season. If I can swing it I am hoping to take the dogs up north on Sunday or Monday for the first hunt of the season.

We don't actually live out there, my wife's dad does, but he lets us use the cabin and the docks through the summer. We use it as our weekend get-away. We live much closer to our work, which is near the stateline.
