Haha it’s true! My passenger side is dented to hell. Only cool part of passenger side is the exhaust exit :burnrubber:

This is why I'm super cautious when going to unknown trails, my trucks is just too damn big to go on most Massachusetts trails because they were all made by jeeps in the 70s. the length and width of my truck has put me in some scary situations on some of those trails and I don't have the income to fix my bedside or replace a door

I wouldn’t be driving my truck in the bush if I was worried about my bedside haha. The side of this bed was drug across a tee once before so it was then the beating cherry was popped. At this point my truck is what it is. Plus, it’s really awesome not worrying about the kids dropping their bikes on it or whatever. :)

Has anyone put a 2014 skid on their 2nd gen? I found one for sale and my skid is pretty ugly and wadded up.

I have to go at it with the Goo-Gone to get the rest of the residue off and then I'll take some pics. I have black badges to go on.

The air injection pumps. Known to go bad on the older 2nd gens and it’s in the neighborhood of a $2000 fix if they go bad. Truck will be in limp mode without the fix. I bypassed mine while there still good so they don’t run and can’t go bad. It’s just a relay, a resistor, and some wire :) easy

Ah ok. My dad did do that on my truck when he owned it. Probably why I haven’t had to know what aip is haha. Good job!

You should make harnesses and make some easy money. I'd buy one.

I followed the instructions from the thread started by @Jrpotts01 and it worked perfectly. I cut and butt-spliced into the MAF wire. It’s not “plug and play” but its 2 butt splices, so darn near it.

    Here’s the thread: https://www.tundras.com/threads/air-pump-bypassed.50260/#post-1310890

The google drive link to the AIP bypass pdf instructions is in that thread. I saved the PDF in case the original author ever pulls it for some reason.

So you didn't need the "Block off Plates" because they should be closed when bypassed before failure?

In an effort to quiet the engine noise I tossed this 20mm on the hood. Pretty cheap addition that worked pretty well for $40cad. The left over pieces I put on the firewall. The interior surfaces will be getting sound proofing at some point so this will just add to that.

Far from a professional looking install but I’m not worried about it haha

I’m surprised how much of a difference it made. :) I can’t wait to do the interior. The clips are cheap to buy off Amazon. It would sound cleaner with new clips anyhow.
