I've been driving my 2015 CM for about 2 years with 0 mods. Then found this wonderful forum and :spending:.

I would like the forum's thoughts/feedback on my setup and if there is anything else I should consider.

My set up so far is:
    6112 front (purchased)
    5160 rear (purchased)
    CB #3 shackles (purchased)
SPC Light Racing UCA (considering) Looking for low maintenance
    Deaver k37 (considering)

    Questions:
For the best ride and look, should I do top setting on 6112/5160 or middle?
How much lift should I expect with this set up?

    Facts:
My Tundra is my DD. I mostly drive on pavement with infrequent light off roading. I hardly ever tow, and if I do, it's light.

Disclosure: I am not mechanically inclined at all and new to the modding game. I am wanting to have everything professionally installed at the same time, and be happy with the first iteration, versus buying and swapping the same parts multiple times.

    Thanks in advance.

6112/5160 with 2/1. Third from top setting on the 6112 is going to give you the best ride but still level you. My truck is my daily driver and this combo has made my truck feel better all around.

Welcome! Personally I'd skip the k37s and go with a better uca.. the total chaos uniball and camburg uniball are way better options and will give you a little more peace of mind and both are fairly low maintenance.. just a little drop of triflow here and there.. do it with an oil change.

No need to change out your leafs unless you do a full Mid Travel setup. The K37's are not meant for weight or towing. If you have any weight or tow at all get Deaver U748's instead.

Another thing I'm not sure if 6112 shocks are meant for extended travel and that's what you will need if you get aftermarket UCA's.

If you get the leaf pack return the 5160’s. Only go up to 2” of lift. You’ll need new rear shocks to handle the rear lift. I have SPC adjustables and like them. I was told by many that the uniballs are not good for harsh Chicago winters with salt and chemicals. So I stayed away from them.

Like @GiantsFanDan said, just based on his description, hes not looking for a huge amount of travel or anything. Just some lift. If hes already adding shackles the k37s really wouldn't be utilized and would be overkill for what hes looking to do.. they are a great pack for sure. Now about the uniball I will have to agree, may not be the best choice for your conditions.. I didnt check your location. Something sealed may be your best bet.

Most guys that arent getting out there hitting it hard but want a little performance seem to like the spc arms. They align great and seem to do the trick on intermediate suspensions. Also something like a icon aal would suffice for the rear. I have k37 but I went all in when I first built my mid travel. Love Em, great spring setup

Thanks @Erichudgins, @Hattori will the SPC arms be good with an extended travel suspension setup? I’m thinking no because it’s not a uniball but school me if I’m wrong

Uniball is always your best option. Even more so with adjustable heims on the arms to dial in your camber. More travel and articulation and less material to cut on you cab mount if you're running offset and beefier tires. Noisy with poor maintenance but hey, we didn't get in this game to be quiet right??

The main purpose of an upper controls arm is to help get correct alignment angles once the vehicle is lifted. The actual travel portion comes from what coilover you choose to go with. The "ball joint" style setup like spc, or jba can limit travel because it just doesnt have a wide angle of play like the uniball or icon delta joint. Thus could put it in a bind in an extreme offraod situation..

6112s on top setting with 5160s and toytec shackles on middle setting running 295 tires. It’s looks awesome but I often wonder if I dropped it down one notch on the 6112s if it would ride just a Bit smoother

I cant speak for the K37s but if you are planing on running 285/70/18s or 275/70/18s I'd go with the 6112s at the third setting (of 4) 1.9" and if you want the truck to look leveled with the 5160s I'd return the #3 couchbuilder and get the #1 (.625"). If you want rake, get the #2.

I'm running with 275/70/18 with the front at the second setting (1.3") with no lift in the back, but when and if I step it up to 285/70/17 (really like the Icon Titanium 17" wheels with +25 offset) I'll bump it up to the third setting and add a 1" shackle.

This is my daily driver. about 40miles per day. And I love it. but always bigger!

6112 Top setting. Two shins driver, one shim passenger. Total Chaos UCAs. Icon rear shocks (allows for more travel and lift than the 5160). Coachbuilder +3 shackles. SCS Ray 10s on Cooper ATX XLT 285/75R18. Rides like stock on highway and city roads and handles normal off roading very well (no jumps or rock crawling)

I'm using the 6112's on the 1.3" setting with 5100's in the rear. Tires are 285/60-20. The ride is awesome.

This is almost identical to the setup I am shooting for, minus the Icons in the back. Thanks for providing a visual @Zero One Actual.

My end goal is to have a level or slight rake, aggressive look but without sacrificing ride.

TC UCA is back to leading the pack. Thanks for the comments.

No problem. The only reason I went with the Icons is because they allow for a little more travel/lift that the 5160 and because I have the decked system and Leitner designs rack, the additional weight of everything will cause the rear to sag obviously. So I will be adding Firestone bags to support that weight of the water, gas and gear. I also have the Coachbuilder +3 shackles and the Icons allow for that additional height in the rear.

But if I did not have he additional mild overland setup I would have 5160s.

For those with the 6112/5160 setup, are any of you also running TRD swaybars? I'm curious as to the ride stiffness.

It really depends as far as the sway bars are concerned. I had the stock front sway bar and installed the rear one, although it felt planted, the ride was the same before I put on King shocks all 4 corners. Now I don’t have both sway bars and the ride is plush, think of it as handcuffs for your suspension it prevents travel. But its mostly people that go offroad that don’t like sway bars, even though most of my driving is highway, I go off-road every now and then and I love it without those bars. Just my 3 cents......

I ended up going with Icon uniball UCAs because I got a good deal on them from a tundras.com member. Does anyone have any experience or thoughts on these? Scanning the interwebs, I found a few people that said they run Icon UCAs with no problems, but nothing like the amount of people that use Camburg or TC.
